Ma Duanlin (1317)

Four stars each in the East and West directions, north of the House Star, mark the path of the Sun, Moon, and five planets. They represent the entrance to the House, preventing licentiousness. Brightness brings good fortune, darkness brings misfortune. If the Sun, Moon, and five planets guard this area, there will be conspiracies; if Mars guards it, war will break out. [2]

Song History (1346)

There are four stars each in Dongxian (East Door) and Xixian (West Door), Dongxian north of Xin (Heart asterism) and Xixian northwest of Fang (Room asterism), representing the paths of the sun, moon, and five planets. They are the doors of the Room, used to prevent licentiousness.
