I’d like to ask you about something important regarding the current transits. We presently have a exact conjunction between Venus and the auspicious fixed star Spica. Additionally, this coming Saturday, Mercury exits combustion (being within an 8°30′ orb according to William Lilly), though Mercury is currently connected with the star Denebola.
On the other hand, the two malefic planets, Mars and Saturn, are forming an exact square while both are in their fall positions, with Mars conjunct Sirius.
Given all this pressure, doesn’t Jupiter’s oriental phase (oriental to the Sun) help alleviate the situation? I observed it at dawn—its apparent magnitude and luminosity were exceptional! Not to mention the trine between Jupiter and Saturn. Could these aspects, along with Jupiter’s favorable phase, help soften some of the malefic energies of Mars and Saturn?
Interestingly, the last time this square between the malefics occurred in similar conditions was in late July/early August 1968. That period saw a major escalation in the Vietnam War, the Ba’ath Party coming to power in Iraq, and even the eruption of a volcano that had been dormant for hundreds of years.
