The 17th asterism of the Well Mansion is called 闕丘 Quèqiū, “Palace Gate,” representing two small hills or towers outside the palace gate. It is composed of 2 stars of the constellation Monoceros. [1]

Ma Duanlin (1317)
The three stars of Queqiu, east of the South River, govern the Xiangwei, the twin towers of the Emperor, and the two observation posts of the feudal lords. If Venus and Mars guard it, war will break out. [2]
Song History (1346)
Queqiu consists of two stars located south of Nanhe (South River). They represent the twin gates of the emperor and the two observation posts of the feudal lords. If Venus or Mars guards this region for an extended period, battles are fought at the foot of the gates. [3]
