Uranus stations retrograde on September 6, 2025, at 01°27′ Gemini. With positive aspects to Neptune and Pluto, it forms a Minor Grand Trine that is effective from July 2025 to June 2028.

This Magic Triangle should make us more open-minded, progressive, and accepting of others, and bring about amazing discoveries, revelations, and breakthroughs. Spiritually ideal forms of social, cultural, economic, and political transformation are likely.

The AI Boom

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) boom is the most striking effect of the Magic Triangle thus far. The internet, computers, science and technology are ruled by Uranus. The aspect most responsible is Uranus trine Pluto, bringing a hyper-evolutionary leap in science that is radically transforming so many aspects of life.

There are charismatic agents of change, such as Elon Musk, Sam Altman, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jensen Huang. It is adventurous, excessively optimistic, futuristic and experimental.

Interacting with a personal AI appears to promote self-awareness, inner growth, and increased personal autonomy. However, I am not so sure it helps you connect more deeply with others.

The AI boom leaves behind traditions, religion and moral standards in favor of individual human potential. Prejudice, injustice, and the abuse of power are grey areas so far. But AI certainly gives the freedom to explore more possibilities during this exciting time of self-discovery. Innovation and invention bring original solutions and more efficient outcomes.

Unintended Consequences

From May 20 to September 14, Saturn conjunct Neptune, is shifting optimism into pessimism. The AI boom has instilled fear about massive job losses, social isolation, autonomous spy drones, terminator soldiers, and the weaponization of AI technologies in ways that are not yet conceivable to science fiction writers. There is no shortage of evil bastards in the world ready to abuse this all-powerful technology. 

Then there is the existential fear that a superintelligence with no human feelings or compassion might decide the most efficient way to solve the world’s problems is to eliminate the cause.

Another fear is that the bubble is about to burst and the billions invested will evaporate in a stock market crash. Uranus trine Pluto comes within 0°05′ orb on September 18, 2025. This should represent a peak in the AI boom.

Uranus trine Pluto then continues to wane and does not return to its current strength until July 2026. The removal of Uranus trine Pluto from the picture will temporarily take the steam out of the AI boom.

Mars square Jupiter at the same time as Uranus stations retrograde also increases the risk of bubbles bursting. It provides ample courage, boldness, and optimism, but not too much in the way of forethought, strategy and moderation.

Uranus retrograde 2025 increases the risk of the AI bubble bursting. Individual freedoms and rights are in jeopardy as governments and corporations find new ways to monitor and manipulate us using AI technology. Uranus retrograde will also reveal more unexpected downsides to AI and other scientific and technological advances that have not yet been considered.
