Uranus Square Pluto History
The last series of squares was between 1932 and 1934, with five exact hits. Many of the fears astrologers have about this Uranus square Pluto series are based on what happened to the world in the early 1930s: the Great Depression, the political and social upheaval, and the rise of dictators and extremism. For a different perspective, a more esoteric view, we can look at Heliocentric astrology. The Rise of Dictators and Extremism
Vladimir Putin is a dictator. He cemented his rule on 7 May 2012 by becoming the president of Russia, and this was close to the first Uranus Pluto square on 24 June 2012. He has been running Russia for the last 16 years, since 1999.
In recent years, there has also been a focus on dictators in the Arabic world. First, the overthrow of Colonel Gaddafi in Libya. Also thrown out was Egypt’s dictator Hosni Mubarak. He was replaced by the democratically elected Mohamed Morsi on 30 June 2012, just six days after the first Uranus Pluto square. A military coup led to installing a new dictator, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, on 8 June 2014. There are many more examples.
Large-Scale Religious Changes
The scandal over Catholic Church, sexual abuse cases continued over the last four years. The causes were authoritarianism, political corruption, human rights violations, inflation, imperialism and unemployment. The methods used are exactly what we would expect with Uranus square Pluto. In the aftermath of the Arab Spring protests, starting in March 2013, wide-scale violence and instability have been termed the Arab Winter. This has sprung the greatest threat to world stability and peace since Nazi Germany, ISIS, ISIL, or the Islamic State.

By far, the most significant larger-scale political, religious or social change due to Uranus square Pluto has risen out of the Arab Spring. ISIS, or the Islamic State, meets all the criteria I mentioned in my predictions. ISIS represents the major generational upheaval of the last four years. The shocking, unpredictable, ruthless and extreme revolution affects the globe. “distinctly non-personal and emotionless, yet their effect is dramatic and deeply felt.”
While Adolf Hitler cemented his power during the last series of Uranus-Pluto squares, ISIS cemented its power with the declaration of a caliphate on 29 June 2014. A caliph is the equivalent of a dictator, with governance over all Muslims worldwide, and his decisions are binding.

Islamic State uses social media to terrorize Western audiences by spreading pictures of graphic violence. Social media are also used to attract new fighters and incite lone wolves. Extremism and nationalism have not been restricted to the Islamic State. UKIP won a third of the vote in nationwide 2013 local elections in the United Kingdom. In the 2014 European elections, UKIP received the most votes, the first time in over 100 years that Labour or the Conservatives have not won a UK-wide election.
The right-wing nationalist prime minister of Japan won a landslide victory in the 2012 general election. He has attempted to downplay Japan’s wartime atrocities in school textbooks. Japan is strengthening and expanding its military in response to rising threats from China and North Korea.
On 18 September 2013, Australia elected Tony Abbott, prime minister, a right-winger with links to the ultra-conservative Opus Dei sect of the Catholic Church. His first budget focused the harshest cuts on single parents, taking $6000 away per year in benefits. The government gives $31 billion a year to religious institutions, and he has spent $430 million to employ chaplains in state schools.
Rise of the Radical Right in Europe
Seven days after the third exact Uranus Pluto square, the EU Commissioner for Home Affairs said in a speech: “We need dedicated discussions at the highest level… on how we stop the growing trends of xenophobia and violent extremism in Europe.” [The rise of right-wing extremism in Europe]

I think the Saturn square sun and the 12th is more about his father, his desire to be a strong but subdued patriarch and inner resilience or suppression of his persona. The issue of his race or racial mix and background already serve as a sort of “glamour” (as per Bailey/DK). What struck me right away was his Sun/Mars conjunction. The ‘fighting Irish’ are a tradition in parts of the South. Given Pluto Retrograde to have the propensity to bring out those darker sides of ourselves we do not like and Uranus to force us to confront our psyche or that psychological “Why?” of things within…or have it EXPLODED outwards (which is possibly why both may have led to Hitler coming to power in the 30s, but why – in this case we see a clashing of the “people” impulsivly taking action while asking this greater “Why?!” of a Uranus in Aries while squaring off the shadowy, dictatorial, rigidity of a Pluto in Capricorn.
Just some musings and observations of an amateur.
I think it comes down to qualities of the planets which makes subtle differences so although geometric patterns repeat, the content is different in the product of the pattern.
Although there is some very dark stuff going on in Syria and Egypt teeters on the brink of something potential dreadful.
The Pluto/Uranus squares still have a way to go yet but I’m sure there’s still a lot of karma to be cleared from those earlier retrogrades.
Don’t forget that Uranus in Aries would be the prime instigator of action without thought. Righteous ego at work. In the case of Egypt we witness a “revolt” against a “dictator” but what resulted was potentially worse. Did anyone taking to the street last year and waving a rabid fist stop to think about that?
PLuto in Capricorn gets really bad press but there’s another side to it. “In the lower sense the goat represents the ambitious person, the greedy seeker after the satisfaction of desire. In the spiritual sense it symbolizes the striving aspirant, seeking the satisfaction of his aspiration.”
Esoteric Capricorn has a whole other meaning. Esoteric astrology is the soul’s journey rather than the personality.
This cardinal juxtaposition is one of initiation on a soul level and perhaps this is where we all find ourselves, hovering on the threshold of choice? But it needs inner search before action. Alice Bailey wrote of Capricorn in Esoteric Astrology,
“Capricorn connotes density, firm foundations, concretization, the mountain of karma that holds down the struggling soul.” On the other hand, however, Capricorn symbolizes “the mountain of initiation which must eventually be climbed and surmounted.” In these two aspects Capricorn “signifies therefore the great force of liberation which both drives into experience and brings experience to an end.”
So when people take to the streets fighting for liberation we have to recognise the symbolic status of the oppressor also. Mostly these freedoms are fought for everyday things and not the soul! But its where they lead in the end.

Fukushima radiation levels as high as 2011
Water samples taken at an underground passage below the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant contain alarming levels of radiation which are comparable to those taken immediately after the catastrophe.

Facing the prospect of a 2nd quarter GDP report showing economic growth less than 1% (some professional forecasting services predict as low as 0.5%), and a year to year growth of the US economy likely to come in at barely 1%–compared to a 2011-12 already tepid 1.7%–today the Obama administration will announce a major revision of how it calculates GDP which will bump up GDP numbers by as much as 3% according to some estimates. That’s one way to make it appear the US economy is finally recovering again, when all other fiscal-monetary policies since 2009 have actually failed to produce a sustained recovery.
Today’s GDP definition revisions is not the first time that politicians, failing in their policies, have simply rewritten the numbers to make the failure ‘go away’. But this time, the GDP revisions will be made going all the way back to 1929. So watch for the slowing US economy GDP numbers from last October 2012 onward to be significantly revised upward.
Instead of an actual, paltry 0.4% GDP growth rate in the fourth quarter of 2012, a weak 1.6% in the first quarter 2013, and the projected 0.5%-1% for the 2nd quarter 2013—all the numbers will be revised higher in the coming GDP estimate for the 2nd quarter 2013. The true GDP growth rate of the most recent April-June 2013 period, projected as low as 0.5% by some professional macroeconmic forecasters, might not thus get reported.

The project has been likened by web experts to China’s attempts to control and restrict free speech on the internet. Critics are likely to complain that it will allow the US military to create a false consensus in online conversations, crowd out unwelcome opinions and smother commentaries or reports that do not correspond with its own objectives.

Last year I posted briefly on a rather notorious forum – that shall remain un-named. On one thread the ‘regular’ must have been drunk when I confronted him with being a paid fake. He said, “Yep! The boss says to just keep them entertained!” Well, as you may imagine his moderators soon noticed his half-wit revealing error and quickly moved in to cover the blunder. The ‘regular’ expressed real anger towards me and addressed me as if I was a man. I suppose a woman is considered too stupid to figure out their game. I did what I could to expose them, but was met with an avalanche of resistance, some quite nasty.
