Hello Jamie.My natal venus is in Capricorn 15th degree and Sun on 18th degree.I also have mercury and neptune on 3rd degree Capricorn.My moon and Uranus falls on 19th degree Saggitarius and my mars is on15th degree Scorpio.Any idea what this eclipse could bring? Hmm…not sure what to make of this. This would make a square to my natal Saturn in 12th, but be trine natal Uranus and Pluto in my 5th. Wouldn’t this also impact my natal Mars at 21 in my 6th? #trepidation

Yes, but this eclipses is on the south node/dragons tail, so normally, wheather it’s something good or bad, south node eclipses will be more about moving away from something, endings.
It’s the north node eclipses that are about getting something, moving towards something. Albeit, moving away from something can pair with moving toward something consequently, this south node eclipse will highligjt more or less, south node/dragon tail things.

Probably you’ll not give an answer, but anyways I wanted to write first time in my life to a site as a comment. (Seriously)
My natal sun is on 16th degree of Capricorn, natal Saturn 16.50th degree, my neptune 11th, mercury 19th degree, uranus on 9th degree, my mc is also 9th degree, all in capricorn, all in my tenth house. So basically coming eclipse conjuncting all mentioned planets. My jupiter is on 5th degree of cancer.
There was tremendous pressure for me all year in the work, practically I did my best and the result is good, but I can’t having the prize and prestige that I deserved. I just blindly gave my all efforts to the project by believing that I’ll have at least personal benefit from it. There is no more effort to give to this project from my side.
What to expect, this builded up hopelessness – pressures will pass to the next level with this eclipse or better to leave everything and move on in an another place?

The January 2019 solar eclipse will mark the beginning of the culmination of years of hard work for you. The hardest work is behind you which would have been Pluto conjunct Sun transit in 2016-2017. Saturn conjunct Sun transit for most of 2019 means you will still have to work hard but it should also bering the achievement and recognition you have been waiting for so patiently. Hi Jamie, a goodly portion of the Capricorn stellium is trine my Ascendant at 16 Taurus 49, most of which happens in my 9th house. I also notice that Mercury at 1 Cap is forming a lovely square with both my Cancer sun and Aries moon. What does that portend for me? Might I add that the past 6 years have been incredibly challenging and I’m currently fighting to keep my livelihood, when I’d much rather focus on creative projects?

My natal Venus is at 19.12 in Cancer (opposition), my natal Jupiter is at 17.20 in Virgo (trine), natal Juno at 16 (trine), natal Neptune at 19. in Sagittarius (sextile), Vertex in Saggitarius at 21 Uranus at 21 in Scorpio and Midheaven at 22.12 (are 6 and 7 degrees too wide orbs to be taken into account?)…my first thought is that this eclipse will somehow shake my chart. My second thought is whether I will feel more the trines of natal Jupiter and Juno or the opposition to natal Venus (Venus rules my IC). My third thought is whether I will feel more the square of transiting Pluto to midheaven or Saturn getting close to an opposition to natal Venus and of course how the midpoint of these two that you mention on the post will play….would this dark and cold energy overpower the good energy of fixed star Vega? Could this hotspot be reactivated by a trine from natal Mars when it reaches Taurus? Or could this be reactivated or the preliminary signs of the Saturn, Pluto and Jupiter conjunction in 2020?
Would really love to hear your thoughts on this! So far the Pluto opposition natal Venus has been hitting hard so I am bracing myself for the Pluto square midheaven and Saturn opposition natal Venus and I suspect this eclipse will be important for me. Am I wrong?

Hi Nikki. Please never feel scared because of astrology, especially because of a particular House. I never use Houses because they are purely symbolic. They are not real like planets are real. A solar eclipse square natal Moon will probably cause some relationship tension but the positive link to Neptune will also be increasing empathy and understanding.

This eclipse is square to the 2014 eclipse …I started a relationship under that which activated my Natal Pluto Square Natal venus …could that bring a culmination to it or is it unrelated?
That’s a good question Eli. They may well be related but the eclipse was just one factor of many if you look at a chart for the beginning of the relationship. You would also need to consider other transits to a relationship chart, especially the outer planets. Relationship astrology is so complicated, just like relationships 🙂
Yes definitely agree. It’s just interesting bc the north node will be in exactly 90 degree position as when the relationship started (well, that’s bc of the eclipse duh!) but yes the outer planets give it a flavor of how the relationship is unfolding..
Do you think planets in the Natal and their aspects are actual people in our lives. It seems that when meeting past relationships, a planet is triggered (and very much describes them) and the transits and eclipses to that very planet show the unfolding of that relationship

Ultima is 16°Cap25′ at Jan5 Solar Eclipse. On my birthday it was 7°Sco04′. Natal progression show it in a Square to Prog. Saturn, 7°Aqu, and opposition to Prog. Moon 7°Tau. Natal transit show it in a t-square with Asc 8°Leo and Mercury 7°Aqu.

From my study of Sedna, Jamie, was that it was so named because of its position at 0°Aries when Russia and USA agreed to Alaska. 1867 was also the year of Canada’s confederation. Also of note, 100 years later, it was at 0°Taurus. 1967 was special as you can well imagine. Right now Sedna and Algol are conjunct, so perhaps the Inuit Arctic, which these three countries share, is in an Algol condition.
How would I decipher this.. This Solar Eclipse is exactly squaring natal Pluto (15 degree). Also the S.E. is conjunct Saturn at 11 degrees which is exactly squaring natal Mercury. The natal Mercury is opposed natal Pluto & natal Mercury (11 degree) is conjunct natal Venus (9 degree). Is this a love eclipse,or work/study exam eclipse?? It’s a good Eclipse, but is it good for the chart? Thanks!

Thank you Jamie for your insights and incomparable readings! This solar eclipse is on the 4th house cusp, trining Moon/Pluto conj in house 12 and opp to MC/Venus conj H10. Having recently entered another round of therapy to try and resolve some outgrown habits and damaging patters constructed from early childhood delusions and parental structures. I am hoping this phase allows for 6 months of understanding the past and developing new structures to allow for healing and growth. Im assuming that Neptune sextile to the eclipse point and also opp to the 12th house Moon/Pluto while trining MC/Venus in natal 10th will provide some faith in the mental health process?

My Midheaven is 15 ’32 degrees Capricorn & Vega is 15’33 degrees Capricorn. I am currently retired—-so what would this eclipse mean for me? I just went through a smooth Saturn Return and this weekend Saturn will be sitting at 11 degrees Capricorn. Curious to know what to expect.

Internet forums are a godsend for the physically challenged but mentally full of vigor. I had a bout with sickness during this eclipse. My body went into hypothermia, so in order to get the heat up i went into a fever, and as you know the energy had to come from somewhere. My muscles ache, but the temperature is back.
The Solar Eclipse degree falls into my natal 5th H and = my natal Ven/Mar midpoint. I’m in performing arts and launching my very first website after many years of working in the business. Curious to know if I should launch the website within the first 2 weeks following the Solar Eclipse in order to maximize the effects of Vega etc… or if it’s OK to wait a month and launch in early Feb instead (when aspects are more harmonious to each other & to my natal chart)?
ok, the question is for Jamie, but as the effects of Solar Eclipse will last more or less until the next SE, I´d say that early February will be totally fine too, if it feels better for you. With all that Saturn influence it´s more about slow, steady, permanent results anyway, not so much of one great performance, which I would place more to the influence of Jupiter. ( f.e. when I had my last exhibiton, Jupiter was on my Leo-MC ) So, steady and sure, wish you all the luck with your business! 🙂

Just registered after having being ( mostly ) a passive reader and have some questions about the eclipse and your site too.
First :
I am curious as to what expect from this one. July Eclipse will be even more spot on ( for the following constellation ), but here, too, the eclipse creates a golden trine to my natal chart – with eclipse planets trining my Venus in Virgo ( 11th H ), and Saturn in Taurus ( 8th H ), which seems very good and stabilizing – and would much appreciate it ! – and being an artist anything nice to my Venus is always interesting.
Yet Uranus is on my Desc opp Jupiter – not much stabilty there – , and Saturn is square to my ( 6th H ) Khiron.
Fittingly – for the challenging Saturn aspects, which began 2 years ago with square to Pluto when I also had surgery then – I have lot of back problems and unable to do my art work atm. Fearing that I will need another surgery this year, I´d much appreciate, if the SE shows rather healing in your opinion, or are the positive aspects mainly about good friendships with this constellation ? I am hoping that Pluto trine my Saturn will “renew” back so that I can sit and walk again normally, but Saturn square Khiron squares me – will I need a second surgery before such positive healing from Pluto could take place ?
Secondly –
I would like to ask, if you use arabic points or asteroids in your horoscopes – I have asteroid Foruna and some beneficial arabic point on 15 degrees Capricorn, will they be enough counter-fource to possible “ill-health” from Vega ?
Yes, I am an artist, but I think I will not go into debauchary with this star, guess my Venus trine Saturn in my natal chart makes me more modest than my other aspects in my birth-chart might indicate. 😉
( f.e. Jupiter on Libra-asc. might and does go overboard at times, but in my case mainly then with overspending for presents to significant other, and at times for other Venusian things )
