Donald Trump Pushing the Limits

Donald Trump Astrology

Donald Trump is pushing the limits of presidential power and the law. Allies and enemies alike are scared of what he might do next, as it appears there is nothing to stop him.

Donald Trump started 2026 with a coup and a kidnapping, using the American military to abduct Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Celia Flores. Trump’s violation of Venezuelan sovereignty is a crime against both the American Constitution and international law. More terrifyingly, it appears to be just the beginning… Trump is drunk on war. [Donald Trump Is Drunk on War, The Nation, January 5, 2026.]

The astrological reason for Trump’s bravado is the Sun, Venus, and Mars conjunction. It is square his Jupiter.

Donald Trump Transits January 8, 2026

Sun square Jupiter transit is making Donald Trump highly confident, proud, and optimistic. It is inflating his ego and urging him to expand his horizons with no limits. He wants to accumulate possessions, increase his wealth, expand his influence and attain honor, fame and acclaim.

This transit causes greed, selfishness, excess, exaggeration, arrogance and boasfulness, with a lack of modesty and moderation. With nothing to restrain him, Trump is pushing the limits of morality and the law. With Venus and especially Mars, also square Trump’s natal Jupiter, excessive risk-taking could lead to loss, embarrassment and disgrace.

According to Lilly, politicians, lawyers, and preachers will try to stop his progress, and they may impede him to some degree.

However, as Trump’s natal Jupiter is well-aspected (trine the Sun, sextile the Moon, and trine Uranus), Trump will “recover his estate and reputation again, and overcome the iniquity of his enemies.” Lilly goes on to say:

As to a Prince, it shows a discontented nobility and gentry, a breach of laws and privileges, and is an argument that the Prince cares not for preferring the laws, but is solicitous after his own ends. [Christian Astrology, William Lilly, 1647, p.681-682.]
