There are ten planetary conjunctions in January 2026. The first three occur with the triple conjunction of the Sun, Venus and Mars from January 6 to 9.
In an earlier post, I mentioned that conjunctions are by far the most powerful of all aspects in astrology. So many conjunctions close together suggest dramatic events, and I predicted more war.
The US attack on Venezuela and the capture of Maduro occurred during the January 3 Full Moon, directly opposite this triple conjunction.
The Sun, Venus and Mars Conjunction
Venus and Mars are only visible in the image above because the sunlight has been removed. They cannot be seen now because the Sun’s light is hiding them. Traditional astrologers would say Venus and Mars are “combust,” or being burned up by the rays of the Sun. This weakens the planet or makes it more challenging. Venus is more harmed than Mars.
Spiritual or New Age astrologers would say that Venus and Mars have descended into the underworld, promoting introspection, surrender, and purification. This part of the Venus Cycle is associated with the goddess Inanna’s descent into the underworld.
Sun conjunct Mars creates ambition, desire, and passion, but irritation, impatience, defensiveness, anger, resentment, fear of competition and sexual frustration. Avoid subversive actions and sublimate your ego to avoid jealousy, impulsive reactions, violence, headaches, cuts, burns, and conflict.
Sun conjunct Venus makes it harder to give and receive love, to see beauty and feel beautiful, and to achieve peace and harmony. Venus in the underworld can be self-indulgent, overly sensual, easily bored, sexually demanding, jealous, cruel, revengeful, intense, volatile, destructive and violent.
Venus conjunct Mars brings heated passions, incompatibility, competition, sexual tension, poor self-control, impulsiveness, a lack of compassion, impatient lust, selfishness, anger, hate, loss of temper, cruelty, rivalry, revenge, violence, rape, protests, rioting, burns, cuts, accidents, and war.

Sun opposite Jupiter brings a lack of self-control, greed, overconfidence, arrogance, waste, excessive pride, boastfulness, extravagance, over-exuberance, gambling, addiction, religious or philosophical zeal, the loss of money and possessions, and embarrassment. Discontent and controversy are possible with leaders, the elite, religion and the law.
Venus opposite Jupiter indicates self-indulgence, vanity, idleness, laziness, self-centeredness, self-pity, carelessness, lack of respect, immorality, promiscuity, overspending on luxuries, excessive pleasure-seeking, and overindulgence in food, drink, and drugs.
Mars opposite Jupiter adds restlessness, boastfulness, overconfidence, hypocrisy, gambling, excessive risk-taking, impatience, trickery, and overestimating abilities and resources. It can make you opinionated, dominating, dictatorial, overly competitive, and aggressive.
Jupiter conjunct fixed star Castor at 20♋36 gives philosophical and occult interests, sudden fame or infamy, and loss through law, speculation or travel. Castor is associated with mischief, violence, laziness leading to self-destruction, sudden reversal of fortunes, restrictions, disgrace, sickness, nervous breakdowns, arm or leg fractures, disappointments, and danger of judicial sentence or imprisonment.
Summary
The triple conjunction of the Sun, Venus and Mars in January 2026 is a challenging alignment. It causes tension, aggression, competition, subversion, and impulsiveness. It discourages peace and encourages war.
These challenges are exacerbated and amplified by the opposition to Jupiter and, again, by Jupiter’s retrograde. Problems could easily escalate and get out of control.
Jupiter in the Gemini Constellation is opposite its natural home of the Sagittarius Constellation. This causes discord, contradictions, and controversy involving politics, religion, philosophy, morality, international relations, and the law.
I have really enjoyed your posts and have shared with numerous people in these past years. However, I have noticed a trend in perspective on political bias. It has become obvious and without full facts (saying this as a democrat) your Trump bashing is getting really old. “Monroe doctrine” chart appears, 8 November 2025. Recall the Farmers Almanac astrology, and we find and read the 13 Oct 1792 first issue and describe the dominant triangle in the chart leading to the expression Monroe Doctrine. Interesting Moon conjunct Regulus, therefore add DNA and Silver. Keep Leopoldina and Skat and see a Model pattern with Magic Triangle and yod. The orbs are 115% in order to see the hexagon. The Moon 29Leo48 opposite Magi Leopoldina 00Pis50, and it forms a Grand Cross. Back at the time of the Three Kings chart, Labrum 29Leo04, forms a yod fulcrum with Leopoldina apex. We go on and on with Leopoldina astrology because it’s the derivative Latin name for Lviv or Lvov, which received an Oreshnik on 8 January, and has its own set of cascading astrology on that day. Very unusually we take J6 and Henge Proclamation and build it out into a 2020 Jupiter-Saturn era work project, having added Magi, Epiphany and Oreshnik. My guess is someone’s AI sees or saw this, perhaps or perhaps not, I don’t want to consider there was a recluse use of a dangerous weapon.
My out of sync-ness with messages or whatever it is seems to be messages about the future. The very near future. I ain’t equipped for that stuff. Can’t read myself. Oh my. Most articles out there on stelliums concern transits to natal stelliums. While it lands on an axis point giving it more oomp pah pah, we all have it somewhere in our chart. Nothing weird happening where you meet the world around you or your others? It does not seem stable to me in the peanut gallery here. Roller coaster is the best word I ran across. Wheeee?
