The Minor Grand Trine between Uranus, Neptune and Pluto lasts from July 2025 to June 2028. This extremely rare and very powerful configuration is the most significant and consequential planetary alignment in our lifetimes and this century.
It should make us more open-minded, progressive, receptive to change, and accepting of others, and bring about amazing discoveries, inventions, and breakthroughs in science, technology, travel, communication, and medicine.
The apex of the Minor Grand Trine is where the energy of Uranus trine Pluto manifests. With Neptune, this could be a spiritually ideal form of social, cultural, economic, and political transformation.

Activation of the Triangle
The three outer planets in such a tight configuration over such a long period accumulate a tremendous amount of potential energy. Activation of this configuration by any planet or moon phase will result in further energization, followed by the release of tension.
From June 9 to August 23, Saturn conjunct Neptune within a one-degree orb has turned optimism into pessimism. The retrograde motion of both planets since July 13 has seen a significant rise in fear, sacrifice and suffering.
Geopolitical tension has been rising in direct correlation with the recent series of three new moons, each one more closely aspecting Pluto. This culminated with the July 24 new moon opposite Pluto, resulting in threats and ultimatums.
Mars Opposite Saturn-Neptune
From August 5 to 12, 2025, Mars opposite Saturn-Neptune creates a Kite aspect pattern. The primary motivation of this configuration is the need for security. It also fosters an either-or attitude and the constant testing of long-standing beliefs. It gives a tendency to go between extremes to find the best way forward.
Everything now points to Mars, the apex of the Kite. It acts like a release valve for the built-up pressure caused by Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. This is the most intense activation yet of the Magic Triangle, amplified by a Full Moon on the same day.
Mars Opposite Saturn-Neptune August 2025
Mars opposite Saturn causes frustration, disappointment, and anger. Frustration arises from others standing in your way, and disappointment stems from unfulfilled desires. The resulting outrage is hard to express and therefore requires patience and self-discipline.
Mars opposite Neptune can bring discouragement, weakness, embarrassment, illness, disappointment, passive aggressiveness, self-deception, and strange or perverted desires. There is a danger of being deceived by others, especially when taking risks or chasing rainbows.
Saturn conjunct Neptune can bring spiritual wisdom and help materialize your dreams. But in opposition to Mars, it may bring insecurity, confusion, self-doubt, guilt, mistrust, deception and paranoia.
What you thought were safe and secure relationships, possessions, employment or general structures and patterns in your life may dissolve away, leaving you feeling anxious and depressed.
Mars opposite the retrograde Saturn-Neptune conjunction could manifest the karmic repercussions of being mean, lazy, disrespectful or cruel. Loss, disappointment, suffering and sacrifice are possible. Saturn’s fear and pessimism could materialize Neptune’s illusions or delusions.
Frustration, fear, resentment, pain, suffering, sacrifice and suspicion will be released through assertive actions as hostility, aggression, violence and war.
Mars Rules War
Mars is the God of War, and it is not too pessimistic or sensational to say that Mars at the apex of the Kite will inflame current wars or start a new one. Threats and ultimatums between Russia and the West have been escalating. There is talk of another European war, or WWIII.
Pluto is conjunct Alpha Aquilae, Altair (0°05′). It gives confidence, ambition, and unyielding nature, military advancement, mischief making and bloodshed. The Eagle of Rome now rules the European Union, the United States, and bombs, missiles, and drones.
