Eta and Theta Lupi share the Chinese name Jī Zú, “Group of Soldiers.” ^[6] Constellation Lupus the Wolf gives an acquisitive, grasping, aggressive, prudent and treacherous nature, with a keen desire for knowledge and strong ill-regulated passions. ^[1]

The Scorpion

Beta Scorpii, between the Claws of the Scorpion, aligns more closely with Mars, but its influence extends to Mercury. Its name is Acrab, from the Arabic al-‘Aqrab, “the Scorpion.”

Fixed star Acrab: Extreme malevolence, mercilessness, fiendishness, repulsiveness, malice, theft, crime, pestilence, and contagious diseases. ^[1] Wealth, preferment, honors, benefits that don’t last, success after much difficulty, and violence. ^[2] The ability to do research into things of a secret and hidden nature, falsehood, treason, difficulties, impediments, and loss. ^[3] A fighter of very great skill with a patient and wary approach that belies the skilled determination which will then be brought to bear. Prominent among surgeons, researchers, generals, police, private investigators, and spies. ^[4]

With Mercury: Dull mind, difficulty in expression or defect in speech, gifts, difficulty in obtaining legacy, but final success. ^[1] Very shrewd but self-created problems. ^[2]

With Mars: Athletic, suffers from over-exertion, goes to extremes, active mind, favorable for money matters, but extravagant and has many debts. ^[1] Extreme or unusual habits can cause self-destruction and illness. ^[2] Mass catastrophes. ^[3]

This distorts the playful energy and becomes extremely perverted. This can be the rapist who makes it a game. They like to steal things and would not mind murdering someone at the same time.
