Paramilitary police arrested former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on May 9, 2023. It has led to violent protests, army deployment, and a blackout of social media. Pakistan was already spiraling toward chaos, with political instability, the worst floods in the country’s history last year, and an economic crisis with inflation over 30%.
In this post, I explore the astrology of Imran Khan’s arrest and how it affects the national horoscope of Pakistan. Unfortunately, Imran Khan has no reliable date of birth, let alone a time of birth.
Imran Khan Arrest Astrology
Imran Khan was arrested outside the High Court in Islamabad on the afternoon of May 9, 2023. The earliest mention of the arrest online was at 2:40 pm. [1]
Imran Khan Arrest Horoscope
Sun conjunct Uranus (0°23′) is the most apparent aspect in the arrest chart to explain the event’s sudden, unexpected, chaotic and shocking nature. It also describes the sudden, spontaneous reaction to riots and civil unrest that spread quickly across Pakistan. Uranus rules the internet, so it also explains the social media blackout.
Moon sextile Saturn (0°00′) made Imran Khan’s supporters feel protective of their leader and nation. It would generally subdue emotional reactions, but the Sun-Uranus conjunction has overridden that. Perhaps there would have been more violence without this strong influence; the Moon was precisely sextile Saturn.
Neptune opposite Ascendant (0°11′) indicates a weakening of Pakistan’s image in the eyes of other nations. But it also arouses suspicion that another country had some secret influence over the arrest.
Neptune square Midheaven (0°24′) damages Pakistan’s reputation, making its people less confident, less trusting, and more suspicious of their government and the president of Pakistan. Such a strongly placed and harshly aspected Neptune also brings sympathy to Imran Khan and makes him appear victimized.
Pakistan Horoscope
I previously posted about the Pakistan Horoscope in 2010, using August 14, 1947, at 9:33 am in Karachi. This is when British Viceroy, Lord Mountbatten, administered the oath of office to Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the first Governor-General.
However, looking at more recent events, that chart does not hold up so well. Since 2010, I acquired The Book of World Horoscopes by Nicholas Campion. His Pakistan Independence Horoscope is set for August 15, 1947, at 00:00 hrs in Karachi.

Pakistan Horoscope V Imran Khan Arrest
Uranus conjunct the Pakistan Ascendant began in July 2022 and ends this month, May 2023. The final pass over the Ascendant was on May 4, 2023. The Sun, also passing over the Ascendant on May 6, triggered the longer-term disruptive influence, resulting in the chaos of the last few days. Midheaven conjunct Uranus transit is another trigger for a sudden and shocking event.
But the end of Uranus conjunct Ascendant transit does not necessarily mean an end to uncertainty and chaos in Pakistan. Uranus square Sun transit lasts from July 2023 to April 2024. The three passes are:

A general election in Pakistan is scheduled for no later than October 14, 2023. Uranus square Sun transit during an election indicates a change in the head of state.
Imran Khan Horoscope
Imran Khan was born in Lahore, and most astrologers in Pakistan use the birth date of October 5, 1952, with the time of 11:55 am rectified by K. N. Rao. [2] But his Wikipedia page says he was born on November 25, 1952. Of four possible Imran Khan horoscopes, [3] none made sense when looking at current transits.
