Which USA Horoscope to use has often been a hotly debated topic on astrology forums, and seen a few guys banned around the place. There are many dates and times to choose from but there is one US horoscope which is gets the most attention.
The Sibly chart is the most commonly used by professional astrologers and for good reason. Ebenezer Sibly was an English astrologer and Freemason who had inside information about the Declaration on Independence, which occurred on July 4, 1776 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He used the time of 5:10 pm for the USA horoscope. In The Book of World Horoscopes, Nicholas Campion mentions the Sibly chart on page 365:
“it is therefore THE horoscope which signifies independence”
Proving the USA Horoscope
The very best way I have found to see if a national horoscope is accurate, is to test it against the country’s first atomic test. As always, I use precession correction for transits to get the best results. The Trinity Test occurred on July 16, 1945 at the Trinity Site, New Mexico, at 5:29:21 am. Below are the transits to the Sibly USA horoscope for that explosion. They prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the most accurate USA astrology chart is the Sibly chart.

Great article! Reading it made me think of the assassination of J.F.K. and the major effects it had on America so I looked at the transits for that time which were pretty amazing!

As regards the solar eclipse conjunct the US uranus, I noticed that there was such an eclipse on the 30th May 1870 exactly conjunct the US uranus at 8.48. The following day (31st May) the Force Acts 1870 were passed – these Acts were a result of the aftermath of the American Civil war, with the main aim of restricting the activities of the KKK. Perhaps the impending solar eclipse conjuncting Uranus will again result in the passing of legislation with the aim of correcting the mistakes of war!?!?!
On a lesser note, I noticed that the total lunar eclipse of july 1982 at 13.36 exactly opposite the US sun occured exactly at the height a serious recession in America. Transit saturn 15.45 and mars 15.12 were conjunct the US saturn 14.48 at the time of this eclipse.
Just noticed I forgot to say that the transit mars and venus at the time of JFK’s assassination were opposite the US Mars 21.22. I’d left that part blank!

Looks interesting Ellie. Eclipse to Mars and Uranus does sound dangerous. With the Arabic Parts, Assassinations is found using Mars, Uranus and Neptune. All these planets are triggered mid year.

I think you could be right about “spectacular events”, but I’m thinking they are more likely to be coming from within America (Uranus on IC). This is why I think Obama is trying to tidy things up overseas so the US doesn’t have it’s forces spread so thinly.

I am glad you use the Sibley chart, Jamie. It is the one I have found the best results with, myself. The matter of which American chart to use is one of the bigger areas of contention in the astro world, it seems. Anyway, I was also thinking that this year could see more war for the U.S., for the reasons you have mentioned, as well as the solar return chart. Without precession correction, the SR has Mars on the natal Uranus/DES and Uranus on the SR DES degree. I am not in the habit of correcting for precession, though, so I was wondering how that would work with a SR chart. Would you just shift everything up three degrees (which doesn’t seem to make much sense) or do you have a chart that is three days later? The latter would produce entirely different results for especially the Moon and angles.
I also find it intriguing that the precessed Saturn return will be on Sept. 26. That also happens to be the day of the next Elenin alignment. The American Lilith at 19 Virgo is also opposite the Elenin Lilith at 18 Pisces, whatever that means. The Sun was conjunct the U.S. Lilith on 9/11, which I find fitting for the extreme emotions generated on that day, and it will be on 9/11 (in part of the world, at least) this year that Elenin will be at perihelion.
Oh yes, I’ve been involved in some heated debates on forums about which chart to use for the US. I’m over it now.
With precessing for solar return, say for the Sibly, you would add 3°17? to the Sun and end up with 16°36′ Cancer. So then would would find the date and time to do the solar return, a few days after the normal solar return. I used to do these by playing around, trial and error at astro.com. Fortunately now I have the SolarFire program which adjust automatically for precession with solar return charts. Using the online Midpoint Astrology Calculator website and keying in the coordinates of
Uranus at 01 ’44 Aries
Saturn at 13 ’16 Libra
we find the midpoint rests precisely (no orb) at 7 ’30 Capricorn exactly where the Pluto location is; in exact square to Mars. Quite phenomenal.

What is most notable is that if we compare this to the natal aspects of the US Sibly chart (the rectified chart of 5:13 pm 7/4/1776 used by Dane Ruddyar) the results are profound. Tr. Saturn is within 3 minutes of squaring the US Sun and tr. Uranus is within a 9 minute orb of the US nadir/mc axis (1 ’53 Aries-Libra).
The significance of these aspects can’t be dismissed easily. Does this chart have the signature of a terrorist attack? That’s a little out of my expertise to say. David Wilcock seems to think that with the US government shutdown, this would be the perfect opportunity for something sinister to occur. Where his ‘insider’ information sources are is unclear….. Greetings all: First time to this website. I am seeking your input on a chart for the state of California. I am using the date/time of 9/9 1850, 9:39 AM in San Jose California. This was the date of the signing of the first Constitution for the state. I would like you to take a look at May 23-August 15th of this year. The critical period I am looking at is May 24th. It looks like Waterworld to me for the state of California. Right now the state has received over 60 feet of snow up in the Sierras! Record snow. A wet earl summer rain would be devastating.
So what do you all think?

Hi Christopher, this is the chart I have for California too, but I haven’t done too much research into it. I did test charts for major earthquakes in California against it and didn’t find much there.
What’s the reason for the May 24th date? If your looking at flooding I would think maybe some connection to Neptune.
Chris and Jamie, where did you get the time for California? I did some research several years ago but was never able to come up with a time. So I began with the assumption that the Constitution was signed in Washington at a ceremony at noon or shortly after. I then did some rectification work and was satisfied with a 12:08 time. I later relocated it to Sacramento, the current capitol. This chart seems to respond to several of the past large earthquakes, but I didn’t have very much luck with forecasting new ones, except for a relatively small one– in the 5 range if I remember correctly– a few years ago. My main focus was on the Uranus-Pluto conjunction and transits/eclipses to it. So far, however, the biggest eclipse of all at 29 Cancer in exact square two years ago hasn’t delivered.
Back to my question, though, I am really interested in why you both have the birth time that you do. Chris, I will take a look at the window you suggested soon when I get some more time.

Terror attack would be a reasonable assumption though with Mars, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto involved. In the April forecast I wrote “Explosive anger, intense arguments, ruthlessness, danger of violence.” Plus Saturn is on the fixed star Algorab which is associated with terrorism, it was conjunct the AC and Mercury when the first plane hit the twin towers, 9/11. This discussion of the fall of the American Empire got me thinking about the cycles within cycles that take place within a YUGA – meaning a period of duration based on our perception. The current Kali Yuga began in 3,606 BC. The word Kali means ‘quarrel’ or ‘conflict’ and has nothing to do with the goddess KALI (spelled differently in Sanskrit), who embodies the principles of time and death.
The Kali Yuga is essentially an Age of Darkness, Conflict and Confusion where the negative forces, the demonic is dominant. Yet within the Kali Yuga there must always be periods that manifest the previous higher consciousness cycles in order to hold the universe together. If you look at written history (writing is a ‘symptom’ of the Kali Yuga), you find pockets of more enlightened civilizations. For example in India the golden age of the Gupta Empire (300-600 C.E.) brought about by Chandragupta, the Renaissance in Italy, and the Founding Fathers of the American Revolution. Of course, there are more. These periods are often the result of an individual or a group of dedicated individuals.
It is as if Light coagulates and emerges in the darkness of the Kali Yuga – but only for a brief moment in time. It shines and inspires us, reminding us of who we really are and what life is like in the golden Satya Yuga, the period when we all know that we are the Oneness; in that time we don’t require writing or war. For a moment the light of Truth shines in the surrounding darkness and then is overwhelmed by corrupting forces.
There is no agreement on the date of the end of the Kali Yuga. However the French Sanskrit scholar Alain Danielou says that the Twilight of the Kali Yuga began in 1939 with the discovery of atomic fission – something I find intriguing considering the recent Fukushima disaster. He gives 2442 as the end date. While I am still not certain about any of these dates, I am convinced that what we are seeing here is at the very least the conclusion of a cycle within the larger cycle. Illusions are being destroyed.
Yes Susan, there seems to be this end of a cycle theme running through a variety of myths and prophesies. I’m thinking these cycles may relate to leaps in evolution.

July 10 transiting (slowed-down) Uranus turns Retrograde in 4 degrees Aries – squaring (right between) the USA natal Jupiter at 5 Cancer and Venus at 3 Cancer. And to add to the burn … transiting Pluto will be in 5 Capricorn. Neptune will still be in 0 degrees of Pisces. Don’t bet the farm! But the question may be asked – will Venus, at long last, have to stop shop-till-she-drops?

Hi Susan, Of course there may be a hint of poignancy to a chart 450 odd years old, but from what I have gathered over the years, albeit professional astrologers and otherwise, there is a solid case to be made for a modern updated chart that speaks to the current trends.
Nick Campion who has done an exhaustive study on national charts (even compiled it into a definitive book called The Book of World Horoscopes) seems to prefer the date that Japan regained its independence as a sovereign nation (4/28/52). The reason being, the efficacy and vibrancy of a chart tends to fade with time after a new legally binding, national identity is established, the replacement or changing of the guard so to speak of the older outdated version.
Nevertheless Susan, with that being said, I think you may be on to something with that July 10th Uranus station.

Hi Dimos, I haven’t looked into any astrology of the ratings agencies. The shift to the right in some Eurozone countries sounds similar to the late 1920’s though which might be related to Uranus square Pluto.
As for mercury turning direct, I’m looking forward to Mercury at 24 Aries when it leaves the retrograde zone on May 11 because it will be with Venus, Mars and Jupiter. In the Greece Horoscope, Chiron is at 24 Aries opposite Uranus, so that may be a good sign of things straightening out. Let’s hope so!

Read about 2 years ago about US Advisors in central Asia and the discomfort the PRC has had with that. Just what would this “concern” be about? US certainly at no time could maintain any thing resembling a military presence (threat).. so what is this about? Try the unmined vast mineral resources that Russia was never able to develop.. Well… here we go…the beginning of the US Dollar’s end as world reserve currency.

In case you missed it, earlier this week China announced that its foreign currency reserves are excessive and that they need to return to “reasonable” levels.
In politician speak, this is a clear, “we are sick of the US Dollar and will be taking steps to lower our holdings.” Remember, the US Dollar is China’s largest single holding. And China has already begun dumping Treasuries (US Debt).
This comes on the heels of China deciding (along with Russia) to trade in their own currencies, NOT the US Dollar. Not to mention the numerous warnings Chinese politicians have been issuing to the US over the last 24 months.
In simple terms, China is done playing nice and is now actively moving out of US Dollar denominated assets. This is the beginning of the US Dollar’s end as world reserve currency.
The dimwits in Washington don’t understand this because their advisors are all Wall Street stooges who don’t think debt or deficits matter.

It seems to me that there are signiciant changes taking place in the US these days with ursurpation of power through “Executive Decree”. While seeming unstoippable because of the lack of values in the Republican Party toward what kind of consolidation is OB taking the US? There is a map of the US that was displayed the other day on Fox of the US being divided into Regions for the purpose of FEMA and Homeland Security and other bodies of the Federal (Central) government having direct control in case of an “Emergency” situation which by law can be declared by the President- Executive Branch. I don’t think we would have to wait until August or September before that “Emergency” to be implemented. Just for a catastropic event. There is a tendency to think of a “terrorist” attack or an earthquake but a major/emergency event could be something as simple a hyperinflation, food shortages or popular uprisings over gas prices. As people stand to loose their jobs over having to travel long distances but can no longer afford the price of gas.
Ron Paul is an incredible person and there are others but less known.

Today May 3 2011 was listening to Fox News talking about the “hit” on Osama Bin Laden and saying that President Barak Obama went against the best advice of his security team and ordered the operation to go ahead is without any doubt saying that he will be reelected in the next election. The agenda he implements is clearly towards a more centralized even “soviet” style of government but this decision can not be over taken by any prospective candidates.
So given the unrest that truly does exist and the resistance to the implementation of his program for America within the population I’d say that this is a very combustible situation and need to look at the possibilities for a more heightened, organized resistance to this program. The dollar is not to to be recovered and the extremity of this circumstance will breed extreme resistance. Has to be reflected in the political chart but also in the dollar chart.
But be assured Barack Obama after this event is unbeatable no matter what else he is doing.

Mississippi River EPIC FLOOD & tributaries flowing backwards
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Mississippi River continues to rise, so much so that its tributaries are starting to flow backwards. At Tom Lee Park, preps for Memphis in May continue knowing that the worst is still yet to come.
It’s a site not often seen; the Wolf River and Nonconnah Creek are flowing backwards. The swelling river cannot take on much more water.
Gene Rench with the National Weather Service said all eyes are on the Mississippi. The tributaries flowing backwards are a big problem for the adjacent communities.
“Right now the Mississippi river is in the process of going through what we call an epic flood, meaning it’s more than historic, it’s more than a 100 year flood, it’s more like a 500 year flood,” he said. “We could flood many homes, businesses, close down factories, people could drown.”

CHICAGO (Reuters) – Government engineers will blow up a third section of a Mississippi River levee on Thursday to manage flooding, as a wall of water roared down the nation’s largest river system, threatening towns and cities all the way to the Gulf of Mexico.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers blew up a two-mile section of the Birds Point levee Monday night, inundating about 130,000 acres of Missouri farmland in a desperate attempt to ease flooding in towns in Illinois and Kentucky.
