I was diagnosed with cancer for the third time on May 13. So I stopped doing personal readings to focus on writing weekly and monthly horoscopes, and the moon phases.
I had lung surgery on July 12 and should be starting chemotherapy in a few weeks. Although I am still taking it slow, I have put the readings page back on the menu and plan to start writing some more interesting articles.
Looking back at my transits shows that natal Mercury and Venus opposite Saturn was activated each time I was diagnosed with cancer. Transiting Pluto square Mercury and Saturn lasts until the end of this year so I have another six months of intense Damocles syndrome to endure.

On the downside, cancer in the lungs can metastasize in the brain. But on the upside, the focused Yod pointing at Saturn gives the potential for positive thinking to stop that happening and materialize a cure. So it is time for positive thinking, and double-dosing Echinacea!
Update July 20
My surgeon called today with the pathology results. All the cancer was removed and it had not spread into the lymph glands. And thank you so much for all the uplifting comments, very much appreciated.
Update July 28
I start chemo on August 18 and it will last up to 6 months. And to everyone again, thank you so very much for your support and your generosity.
Update August 19
I started chemo yesterday and I don’t feel sick! The only side effect so far is tingling hands when they get cold. And that is easy fixed. Oh, and I also went back to bed for 2 hours this morning, so a little tired.
Update August 26
The first week of chemo I was so tired and a bit nauseous but no vomiting. I had to stop doing readings and probably won’t start again until the chemo is totally finished, maybe 6 months. Every 3 weeks I have an infusion of a drug that makes me really sick for abut one week but then I get well enough to do things around the house and sit at the computer as well. Next update when I see the oncologist on September 6.
Update September 7
Good news from my oncologist yesterday. My cancer markers are normal and I only need 3 months of chemotherapy instead of 6 months. Thank you again for the messages of support!

Jamie, I hope all goes well for you. My father died from metastatic cancer at 51. It’s believed that it started in his colon. Looking back, my family is fairly certain we know what contributed to his illness. Could there be something toxic in your environment? For example: at work, water(even well water can have high amounts of iron or other things/ test it), food(pesticides/preservatives)? Could you have been exposed to a toxic chemical in a large amount, in the past? My dad found out he had it 2 weeks before he died so, there wasn’t really time for alternative treatments. I agree with Dana about reiki and doing it as often as you can. Do you wear or carry any crystals? I would recommend a purple amethyst for healing(during rest), a Smokey quartz for absorbing negativity(during any stressful situations/around negative people) and a clear quartz for clarity(while doing good work/play). Be sure to clean them after each use in the best water you can find. ( spring). You can also charge them for extra strength in the light of the moon. Also, make certain that the material ( metals/string around your neck, suspending the crystal isn’t toxic, either. A nutritionist should have some advice on a good meal plan for your situation( no red meat, tuna or cured meats and eat organic).There also may be a healer out there, besides a reiki master, that could help. A healthy lifestyle, based on everything in moderation, is usually the best choice. Boring, but true. I always look forward to your emails and don’t want to lose you! I was one of the first people in the world diagnosed with a genetic disease with a common blood test. I would be dead long ago if it were not for the human genome project.

Dear Jamie- in 2015, i was dx with invasive ductal cell carcinoma in my left breast, that had gone outside the ducts but thankfully, not the breast. I had a lumpectomy followed by five weeks of daily radiation. In 2017, NSCLC was found in both lungs (largest growth in left), fortunately not a met from breast. Treatment was extensive cyberknife radiation to both lungs. Until this year i had semi-annual CTS (now it’s annual), and despite several scares resulting in bronchoscopies and several PETS, etc, no new growths have been found and my condition is “stable.” The only current problem is permanent damage from all the radiation to two ribs on the left chest wall side.
So while your “shoes” don’t quite fit my feet, i can certainly relate to what it feels like to live under the shadow of ongoing cancer. You didn’t mention your family history, but cancer is prevalent in mine, with my mother dying from melanoma in my youth, my youngest sister dying from breast cancer in 2009, and my youngest brother from esophageal/gastric cancer in 2012. My surviving brother has also had melanoma.
I note that quite a few comments have advice on nutrition, environment, diet etc, and i’m sure they’re all well-intended. None of the ones i read involved their own experiences. I don’t know how you feel about such advice, my own take is that others shouldn’t be so free with their opinions unless invited to do so. It’s my belief that stress had much to do with my own cancers- not only a stressful job that left me feeling so creatively unfulfilled (i retired three years ago), but the loss of my two youngest siblings (i’m the eldest of five). I did discover RSO which you’re no doubt familiar with; whether or not that helped i’ve not idea.
I really appreciate your honest sharing of your illnesses, as well as the astrological perspective. I am not a professional astrologer, and it never occurred to me to explore my natal transits, which i’m going to do now.

I would seek out ozone therapy. I think that it would be easier to find in the UK, than the USA. Cancer cannot live in an oxygenated environment. Also, start taking mushroom supplements. …Jamie, with cancer it is necessary to look for dead theets, root chanels, mercury fillings and metal in the mouth…that means to remove all of them. I should look if I still have any screenshots of dental summit with names of serious dentists in USA, if you are interested, you may have already a good one. In any case your condition speaks for toxicity which your body can not deal with.
In the book of Hulda Reger Clarke is given a plan with tincture of American black walnut+clove and ?(not sure what is pelin in English wormwood?, but in the book you can see it correct). I use myself a modified version with common walnut of Europe and all together, and find it one of the best things I tried, the original is probably stronget and better.
A good chi gong master may eventually provide some help or Ayurveda? There should be serious experts in USA.

My surgeon called today with the pathology results. All the cancer was removed and it had not spread into the lymph glands. And thank you so much for all the uplifting comments, very much appreciated.

Personally from experience of other people around me I would recommend:
Change your diet do not eat process foods,
I recommend from Flora Flor essence Dry Herbal Tea Blend with mild bitter qualities,
consider vitamin C, there are even clinics that give shots of vitamin C. even a Nobel prize winner was advocating vitamin C
Consider B17/pits form apricots are really good. see documentary of G. Edward Griffin.
Doctors not often can recommend apricot pits but In Netherlands a doctor of my mothers friend prescribed also change of diet and with it apricot pits she recovered. Same story in different country, I know a friend in Poland who had chemo, radiation, operation nothing helped. Eventually doctor took him for private conversation, told him this conversation never took place and told him that there is nothing they can do for him, but he said eat apricot pits and read about vitamin C therapy. My colleague ate apricot pits even as high as 52 a day which can be dangerous and had vitamin C therapy, he got better in weeks. He met later a girl who that a tumor in her eye she did the same and she is almost 100% healthy. I am just sharing this perhaps it can be useful for you just like astrology can be useful to some and nonsense to others . I wish you a speedy recovery and permanent remission. For what it’s worth, I’ve found that the Cayce radial appliance has been very helpful to me when I was drained of “vitality”. You might consider using it to recuperate faster, but I don’t know how it would interact with the regimen you are on. My father who is living in Australia(we are from LV, NV 🇺🇸 ) is also battling cancer there (bladder) and has had several organs removed. He’s in Brisbane. It’s been so hard having him so far away. The first week of chemo I was so tired and a bit nauseous but no vomiting. I had to stop doing readings and probably won’t start again until the chemo is totally finished, maybe 6 months. Every 3 weeks I have an infusion of a drug that makes me really sick for abut one week but then I get well enough to do things around the house and sit at the computer as well. Next update when I see the oncologist on September 6.

I hope you are doing well (or as well as can be expected…).
I, too, was diagnosed with cancer July 12th. Well, the “official” diagnosis was on the 12th. Surgery to take out the mass in my stomach was on the 10th. I’m telling you this because you and I were both born on the same date (!!!) and I found our birth dates and diagnoses dates to be an uncanny coincidence, yeah?
Unfortunately, my diagnosis is terminal since the cancer metastasized to my liver and, there are several smaller masses from chest to pelvis and the organs in between.
I’m also on chemo and the thing that has helped SO much with the nausea is steroids. I just had my second treatment two days ago. They give me an IV steroid at the time of the treatment and then an oral steroid that I take for two days after the treatment. The doctors say the steroid helps give me energy and cut down on feeling nauseous. I wonder if you can mention this info to your oncologist to see if you can try the steroids, if you’re not already getting them?
Also, a couple of weeks back, one of the nurses made a suggestion that she said had REALLY helped a lot of her patients–probiotics in pill form and another thing made by a company called “Kefir” that is a “soupy yogurt” (my description of it). It has vitamins, lots of protein and some probiotics in it.
I went to the store and got some of the Kefir the day the nurse suggested it and, after drinking 1/2 cup a day and taking the probiotic pill, it has really helped me feel better. My main complaints prior to drinking the Kefir and taking the probiotic was nausea. But for most of my waking hours I no longer have the intense nausea I did before I began Kefir & the probiotic.
The brand “Kefir” may be an American brand but if you google it, you can most likely find a similar brand in your area.
