Lunar Eclipse 7 August 2017 Full Moon

Lunar Eclipse August 2017 AstrologyThe lunar eclipse on Monday August 7, 2017 is at 15° Aquarius. The lunar eclipse August 2017 astrology has a mix of difficult and easy aspects. Jupiter square Pluto is directly linked to the Moon and Sun. This means that a powerful drive for personal success will have an affect your mood, behavior and close relationships.

Lunar eclipse full moon August 2017 has the potential to make you greedy, selfish and ruthless on your way to the top. Positive aspects that link the lunar eclipse to Jupiter and Pluto show how to avoid these potential pitfalls. They also give clues about the happiness and success that are possible if you play your cards right.

Lunar Eclipse Meaning

Full Moon August 2017 is a lunar eclipse which focuses your attention on relationships of all kinds. The Sun opposite Moon qualities of emotions and instincts reach their peak at a lunar eclipse. This lets you take an objective and balanced look at your close personal relationships. Being in touch with your own needs and intentions, and those of others, you can clearly see any relationship imbalances causing disharmony.

With a lunar eclipse in particular, the blotting out of the Moon represents a resetting of emotions, clearing away the emotional baggage of the previous six months. The horoscope for a lunar eclipse is like a snapshot in time, but like old style photography, it takes time to develop.

The August 7 lunar eclipse marks the end of an eclipse phase which began with the February 2017 Lunar Eclipse. Together with the August 21 solar eclipse, it will remain active until the lunar eclipse on January 31, 2018.

Lunar Eclipse August 2017 Astrology

The August 7 lunar eclipse in the Sign of Aquarius is actually in the Constellation of Capricornus. The Sea Goat has a great influence over human affairs and brings major changes in such areas as climate and political customs. A lunar eclipse in the “Mansion of Kings” will focus attention on leaders, their rise to power and fall through overthrow or assassination or overthrow. Unfavorably situated with regards to lunar eclipses (opposite Mars) the constellation indicates major storms, especially at sea.

Jupiter square Pluto is the strongest and most important aspect in the chart after the lunar eclipse itself (Sun opposite Moon). The full impact of Jupiter square Pluto is felt four days before the eclipse and it remains the major background influence. This aspect makes you want to succeed, and succeed big-time. It could be a pet project or career that you feel this intense drive to reach the top.

Success, power and influence are all possible, but without some care, there will be a price to pay. Ruthless determination, greed and corruption may get you there quicker and make you more money, but at what cost? Your personal life is the most likely area to suffer, especially your closest relationships. Remember a lunar eclipse highlights your emotions, home life and partners.

Lunar Eclipse 21 August 2017 Astrology

Lunar Eclipse August 2017 Astrology

Moon trine Jupiter increases your chance of success, wealth and happiness. It encourages harmony in relationships and will soften the ruthless nature of your ambitions. Moon trine Jupiter also encourages a more moral and ethical approach. Intimate relationship will benefit from your openness and honesty. New relationships started now will be based on these same genuine qualities. Mutual respect and understanding can lead to very successful personal and business partnerships.

Sun sextile Jupiter  brings optimism, good luck and happiness. This is an ideal time to meet your goals as there should be little or no resistance. Starting new projects will benefit from the growth and expansion of Jupiter. Others will be generous and hospitable toward you, especially Jupiter type people like judges and other authority figures. Other means to expand your horizons may include further education and long distance travel.

Moon opposite Mars will make you impatient to succeed and easily angered by any delays. Little things will annoy you that you would normally ignore. Anger and a tendency to act without thinking increase the risk of minor irritations turning into arguments or fights. Relationships with your partner, family and close friends are most likely to suffer from your impulsive actions and aggressive instincts. Channeling your aggressive energy toward hard work and competition will reduce the risk of conflict.

Sun conjunct Mars brings an abundance of energy and initiative which must be used constructively, otherwise there can be damaging consequences. If this hot energy were to build up in your body, it would be spontaneously released without control. Such a release of uncontrolled hot energy would be rapid and destructive, hurting yourself or others. Physical activity is preferred but the brain can also burn up a lot of energy. Your sex drive could go through the roof. Baby making suits the creative and productive nature of this aspect. You can express your identity through physical actions.

Full Moon August 2017 Hidden Clues

When there are a number of different aspects linking up to form a pattern, energy usually flows in one particular direction. Problems always come before solutions so you begin with the challenging red aspects and find your way to the blue harmonious aspects.

In the lunar eclipse August 2017 astrology chart above, you start with Sun opposite Moon and Jupiter square Pluto. This combination represents the polarities in your life and relationship tensions, compounded by selfishness, greed and ruthlessness. The flow of energy, I think, will move from Moon > Sun > Pluto > Jupiter > Moon. This cycle will keep repeating in a continuous loop until all the loose ends are tied up and your problems are solved.

The aim is to arrive at Moon trine Jupiter success and happiness. This warm and engaging aspect will also offer solutions to your problems. There is one more aspect directly linked to this full moon eclipse. The green line from Sun to Pluto is a minor aspect called a quincunx.

The quincunx, or inconjunct aspect, causes irritation and tension but also solutions and the release of tension, similar to the dynamics involved in wounding and healing. Traditional astrologers ignore this aspect of karmic adjustment and miss the hidden clues held within.

Sun quincunx Pluto will highlight some specific problem areas in your life that must be resolved to move from the unstable red state to the peaceful blue state. It makes this lunar eclipse a turning point in life that may be felt as a mini crisis or threat. A buildup of pressure to an intense level can result in neurotic, obsessive or destructive behavior. An event or person may trigger this tipping point by taking away your personal power.

Reacting by trying to control and manipulate others will result in conflict and bruised egos. Compromise is needed. Sublimate your ego by letting go and trusting in a higher power. This exercise in self-improvement will transform your life for the better and have a positive effect on your loved ones.

  1. I can feel it steering inside now, the ruthlessness and determination to sucseed at all cost. I wasn’t like that before and the vision beaconing more acceptable every day. Let’s see how I play my cards.

I read someplace that Eclipses are just the point in time when the events manifest, imfact they have already happend. What are your thought about that Jaime?

  2. And the flow of energy will continue to loop until the end of the six months eclipse cycle you think,Jamie?

  3. My name is devin godwin born aug7 1984, this is indeed a very prominate night and i thank you for your insight jamie on these phases of the moon,

  4. The squares are an opening between planets, in this case allowing good to flow in and fill the gap

  5. Jupiter square Pluto can be a good thing. Jupiter is the planet of “I ll get away with it”. In this case revealing where there is overreaching. Back to reality.

  6. Venus at 16 Aquarius oppose pluto 16 leo. Wohaaa. Am ready to chuck it all in. Have waited long enough. Will let you know what happens.

  7. I’m guessing that I’ll be feeling this lunar ecl. I have natal Jup. @16 Aqua. and Moon @14 Libra.

  8. I’m a leo rising w/Uranus 24.50rx obviously sun in Aquarius 7th house Sun at 14.50 degrees. Would I read Leo Rising sign w/solar eclipse?

  9. the weekly Scorpio horoscope is not updated for next week , i am very curious

  10. Don’t know if it’s this full moon but I’ve been really bad tempered the past 2 days! I’ve been very abrupt and just want to be left alone! I’m usually pretty chilled!

  11. Today was a good day on so many levels, you have given me some clarity into what I have been experiencing over the last seven days. Thanks

  12. Hi Jamie, I was born on 7th August, sun in Leo, Leo rising, moon in Aries. I was expecting subjects related to 7th house would show up but it’s all about health problems lately. Do you have a remark on that?

  13. My cat, Aries, died on this Lunar Eclipse of August 7 in San Francisco. He apparently died of a kidney or bladder problem. He became ademic, taking on too much water. Thankfully, he didn’t suffer, but went into a coma.

  14. There have been two major accidents on the sea with USS Fitzgerald and USS John McCain. but the last accident was very close to the solar eclipse along with Mars in Leo. Often a solar eclipse signals trouble or loss for a king or leader but noteworthy, the name of the ships carried the name of Fitzgerald and John McCain.
