The full moon on July 31 2015 is the second of the calendar month making it a rare blue moon. At 7 degrees Aquarius it falls within Aquarius decan 1. The full moon astrology is depressing to say the least, especially when it comes to maintaining harmony in close relationships.
Though not as complicated or intense as recent moon phases, it does emphasize the current theme of struggle against adversity and squabbling. The major players creating fear and anxiety are Jupiter and Venus square Saturn. This configuration gives hope of love and happiness yet makes it frustratingly difficult to achieve.

Like all full moons, the major planetary aspect is Sun opposite Moon. Along with the conjunction, this is the most important of all aspects in astrology. A full moon focuses our attention on relationships of all kind. A full moon itself has a relationship to the previous new moon. Projects you started during the previous moon phase two weeks ago can now be fine-tuned or completed, it is harvest time.
As the lunar qualities of emotions and instincts reach their peak at a full moon, you can take an objective and balanced look at your personal relationships. Being in touch with your own needs and intentions, and those of others, you can clearly see any relationships imbalances causing disharmony.
Blue Moon July 2015 Astrology
As mentioned above, this full moon adds to the theme of the previous new moon on July 15. The battle lines were drawn two weeks ago between partner or groups, with people going to any lengths necessary to win. A full moon does in itself places emphasis on intimate relationships, so it is the area of your close one to one relationships where the recent tensions will manifest.
Our blue moon chart is less complicates than previous moon phases, with fewer planetary aspects and no major fixed star lining up with the moon. The chart below shows that the major influence is the Venus Jupiter alignment square Saturn. Because both Venus and Saturn are retrograde, this is a long-lasting influence and I have talked about it in recent posts.
July 2015 Blue Moon Blues
Jupiter square Saturn is the most difficult major planetary aspect for the next six months. It points to trouble brewing in love relationships which are already experiencing disharmony. Hopes and dreams for the future may differ to such an extent that compromise may be difficult to achieve. A difference in opinions or beliefs may be the cause of contention, or squabbles may arise over finances and shared responsibilities.
Saturn stationary retrograde about to turn direct is at one of its most critical points. It complicates relationships, deepening fears and anxieties, plus adds a dimension of karmic guilt or payback. Saturn aligns with the generally positive fixed star Toliman. However, this star can spoil relationships with women due to exceptional circumstances. This is obviously pertinent due to Saturn square Venus and Jupiter.
The beautiful Venus Jupiter conjunction is of course very fortunate, promising love and abundance, riches and happiness. Venus retrograde does cause some complications, with interference from previous lovers or distance within love relationships. Venus on the major fixed star Regulus is not a good omen for romance and brings disappointments.
More troubling is Venus square Saturn because it is one of the most challenging of all aspects for love and happiness. The result can be poor self-esteem, isolation, loneliness and even depression. Because of retrograde motion, this aspect stays within 5 degrees orb from July 4 to August 14, covering all of this moon phase.
Mars square Uranus is widening in orb at 4 degrees but will still be felt as impatience and irritability. Tempers could get out of control and risky behavior could lead to accidents and other unwanted happenings.
Given this two-week full moon phase falls under the influence of the stressful April 2015 lunar eclipse, it would appear that piles of crap are to be heaped upon piles of crap when it comes to maintaining harmony in relationships. Fortunately, the August 14 new moon looks a lot more promising for love relationships

Lucky for me this moon is conj. my sun at 9 aquarius! The glorious new moon in may with that wonderful yod to pluto was conj. my ascendant. That was game-changing and brutal. I have hopes this moon will be the beginning of a long crawl back up from the bottom. Maybe there’s a shift coming with saturn going direct (finally with my descendant at 27 scorpio) and venus going retrograde.
This says everything I feared about a problem with my sister. Maybe I should wait a few weeks to have that conversation… ::sigh::

I can understand why people in ancient times feared eclipses and astrological phenomena in general. It seems as if negative impacts are a lot more common than positive. So often something exciting like a full moon conjunct sun are on malefic stars, or have a hard aspect to a malefic planet, or how seemingly positive transits are in their detriment, or something harsh is going on in the sky. Not to mention trines don’t do much.

The last couple of weeks since the first moon n July I have been in turmoil! I’m a singer/songwriter who was sad to quit my dream after an emotional breakdown. Up until last night I was shifting things to make it work and was happy until I attempted to record a song and was too tired and started having a panic attack realising that things had changed. Got on net this morning realising the significance of the blue moon and I’m blow away! Always been sensitive to weather and the moon and geez it makes me feel better to know I’m on track. Will my love life get better I was born pisces 3/8/71
My birthday is 1/18/1967… I have been having some major battles with fear over the past couple of years. I have had turmoil in a couple of friendships that is unusual and crazy things happening in a home project and some other financial aspects of our life. I am finding some resolve very recently with meditation and a practice of gratitude. I was very recently able to identify my fears… a couple in particular. I am feeling like this blue moon is symbolic or meaningful in for me. Any thoughts?
The full moon makes no strong aspects to your Sun but it could trigger other parts of your chart. Saturn trine Capricorn decan 3 is excellent for working through fears. Take note of Saturn turning direct on August 2.
This is insane, ive beem reading a bunch of astrologies for this full moon amd this one is the most accurate for me. Been having fears and anxieties over relationship building up the past 2 weeks and last night it was over the top, and i walked outside to look at the moon and it got even worst. I just hate it that i am bounded to have insanity according to the movement of the stars, im starting to believe it now more then ever, most full moons i become insane. My wife is scared of me. But its weird with all the insanity i have a lot of hope for love and harmony and serenity, it swings by randomly and give me hope. i hate the full moon, makes me feel like im a monster, a beast.
