Japan Horoscope

Japan Horoscope

On March 11 2011 a 8.9 earthquake and tsunami struck Sendai, Japan causing the worst nuclear crisis since Chernobyl. We look now at the astrology and the fixed stars in relation to this disaster. The December 2010 Lunar Eclipse was on the massive fixed star Betelgeuse in the Orion Constellation. As mentioned in that blog, the Japan horoscope has Moon conjunct Betelgeuse (13′). By comparison, Australia has Neptune (floods) on Betelgeuse, Egypt has the Sun (president) on Betelgeuse. The Moon in the Japanese chart represents her people, so the masses are directly impacted by the Lunar eclipse.

The Lunar Eclipse activated the Japanese Moon, conjunct by 40′. At the time of the earthquake, Uranus was putting more strain on the people, being square the Japanese Moon (76′). Uranus brings unexpected, shocking events. Uranus also rules earthquakes and the nuclear industry. Update: Fukushima Nuclear Plant Explosion.

With Uranus on the fixed star Scheat, the events can involve catastrophes, especially concerning the ocean and water – tsunami. The Lunar South Node was conjunct the Japanese Moon (03′). I’m using the precession correction value of 102′.

Japan HoroscopeOther transits to the Japan chart worth mentioning:
Pluto opposite Chiron (29′).
Jupiter conjunct Venus (34′).
Chiron conjunct Mercury (04′).
Ceres conjunct MC (78′) quincunx Ceres (09′).
Ascendant conjunct Saturn (25′).

Now to the chart for the earthquake itself, data from USGS [1]. As mentioned above, Uranus is on catastrophic Scheat. Lilith is also on Scheat, and exactly square the Nodes. Lilith the baby killer in this case, the square tearing apart family relationships.

Mercury, the messenger of the Gods is square the Vertex, or destiny. Mercury is on a fixed star called Deneb Kaitos (04′) in the constellation of Cetus, the Sea Monster (the Kraken in Clash of the Titans). Deneb Kaitos gives “misfortune and compulsory change” [2], and “Inhibitions and restraints in every way, psychologically and physically” [3].

There is a major aspect pattern in this earthquake chart called the Fist of God, or Thor’s Hammer. The technical name is the Quadriform aspect configuration. It is the triangle with the red lines. Moon square Neptune, both sesquisquare (135°) Saturn. With a Fist of God, the tension from the square can lead to violence or destruction at the apex planet.

Japan HoroscopeMoon square Neptune puts the population against the ocean, Neptune is the sea god Poseidon. Neptune in hard aspect like this also represents suffering and victims. The Moon is on a major fixed star called Alcyone (02′) in constellation Taurus, part of The Pleiades Star Cluster. The Pleiades are prominent in the Cherokee Prophecies about the major changes ahead for us. “The Pleiades causes bereavement, mourning, sorrows and tragedies” [4].

So the Moon and Neptune focus their energy down on Saturn, the earth, the land. Saturn in mundane astrology rules infrastructure, buildings and property. Saturn also rules the economy, and the Japanese economy was already teetering, this might tip it over. The Fist of God in this mundane chart points to destruction from an act of God. Remember the Ascendant in the earthquake chart is conjunct the Japanese Saturn.

An article here I will post on other threads – I’m sure the plasma (electrically charged gas/other material) coming from the sun during the recent solar lares may have influenced the earthquake. Volcanoes are telluric points. Uranus rules electricity too… Uranus PLuto square anyone???

  2. thunderbolts.info/tpod/00current.htm

everyone must read this! This is how Uranus is affecting the earth – electricity resulting in earthquakes! I think we’ll see more volcanic eruption – April? Aries fest with Uranus/PLuto square etc

    • “If earthquakes are underground lightning bolts” Makes sense especially with the core of the earth being an iron crystal.

      • Yes, I had wondered about that! This is an excerpt for the Thunderbolts stuff on volcanoes –

“Quartz reacts to stress by producing electricity, but when electric current flows through quartz it vibrates with a frequency coincident with the watts of power supplied to it. In a previous Picture of the Day, our planet was compared to a capacitor, capable of being charged and discharged by external electric fields.”

So I’m wondering if all the crystals in the world are getting an “upgrade” while there is a lot of plasma burst from the sun. his to would be very Uranus/PLuto – crystals are the gems from deep in the earth and Uranus the electricity.

The Iron Crystal must be having an exchange as these forces penetrate on the quantum scale too.

        • This also allows for changes to come from other planets altering the energy in the core. We have our own dynamic going in inside the earth creating earthquakes, but that dynamic is altered by other planets, comets, the Sun, etc.

  3. Thanks, UQW! This website has interested me (as a total Uranian!) for a long time now. And this is a great article very relevant to the ideas we have been turning over here. I remain keen (as they say in NZ) to watch the Uranus/Pluto Square. This would also fit into the Clif High ‘expando-planet’ theory which predicts increasing volcanoes as plasma from the ensuing solar cycle enters the earth’s core and recharges the magnetoshpere.

    thunderbolts excerpt:
“Since magma can be considered a form of liquid plasma, it can also conduct electricity. As the ionosphere is charged up by solar flares, opposite charge is attracted to subterranean magma. Electric currents in plasma pinch down into filaments and form double layers. Electromagnetic forces between current filaments and between double layers can cause sudden pressure variations.”

    • Brilliant! And it was recently discovered that the Earth too sends out gamma rays. I’ll check out Clif High too. Its incredible how all these ideas mesh together.
I went to two lectures by Wal Thornhill of Thunderbolts last year and was blown away! it put a whole “new spin” so to speak on the effect of planets. I also found an article on the Lucis Trust site this week which linked Alice Bailey’s work A Treatise on Cosmic Fire with Electric Universe /www.lucistrust.org/en/arcane_school/the_electric_bridge/sundry/the_electric_gods
Another manifestation of Uranus and PLuto is Electric Universe theory coming out of the old paradigms.

  5. Just updated this post with a diagram showing Earth between comet Elenin and the Sun

  6. Wow! This is earth changes.

CNN: …the March 11 tremors shifted the Oshika Peninsula near the epicenter by just over 17 feet and dropped it by just over 4 feet, the Geospatial Information Authority in Tsukuba, Japan, reported Saturday.
Those two land mass movements are records for Japan, according to government figures.
The global positioning system data from the Tsukuba University-based authority revealed the peninsula on the Pacific coast moved in an east-southeasterly direction toward the epicenter. The quake also moved land masses in many areas ranging from the northeastern region of Tohoku to the Kanto region including Tokyo, the authority said.

It seems that exactly as the quake happened, the Earth was hit by a ten fold increase i the strength of prevailing solar wind.

Here is some data which links the current solar cycle to the San Fran Earthquake of 1906 and an approaching comet to the 3 New Madrid Fault quakes. I haven’t looked at the planetary positions yet

    • Hi Uberqueenofwands…re: solar winds….think that the last full moon was 18th Feb, thats when a solar sun flare went off….
What date did the Japan quake happen?….did the solar flare on 18th Feb casue the “solar wind”???

It’s Monday 7.27 pm in Melbourne….just had about 40/60 black crows outside my home…they appeared for about 3 days, every day, before the Japan quake hit…am now figuring out they are NOT a good sign. Barb

      • barb – the best way to understand the crows is to listen to them and observe their movements, so, can you say what those crows were doing when they were hanging around your place, and what they are doing now + is this unusual, are they regular visitors/residents?….also, if they are connected with anything at all they may simply be giving a headsup, neither good nor bad

          • crows = natural law, karma + Saturn = karmic law enforcement

BTW did you get a time fix for the Pakistan mine blast (wrong location but strong trans aspects to the Karachi Pakistan chart)

            • Can’t find a time for the explosion but will keep looking. Uranus was conjunct the Pakistan DC 4:50 pm Sunday 20 March.

    • Hi Susan, Its worth going on to Thunderbolts’ site and signing up for their updates too.
This is a clip from today’s – they are having a big conference soon in the US. This is from the UNiversity of Maryland –

      ABSTRACT:
The derivation of terrestrial life is said to have required a much greater amount of ultraviolet radiation than the Sun presently supplies. And yet the Sun is claimed to have been much dimmer at the very time life rose on Earth. The emergence of life is also said to have required vast electrical discharges, but the electric energy that Earth can produce through atmospheric lightning lacks the required potency to accomplish what is needed. The manner in which miles-deep glaciers accumulated during Earth’s past ice ages has never been resolved. What is even worse is that lands within the Arctic circle had actually basked in warmth during these ice ages, as they continued to do in between these ages down into geologically recent times.

      Very Uranian in deed!!!

  8. Philippines hit by a 6.0 earthquake.

    english.cri.cn/6966/2011/03/20/2321s627427.htm

if this is a precursor to a big quake, many will die. the Philippines doesn’t have the same “preparedness” as Japan, nor do they have the same building technology as Japan. many will suffer there if a big one hits.

the coast where the quake hits is along the edge off Philippine plate and the subduction zone is well beneath the ocean where it’s deeper (larger volume of water).

Japan was hit with smaller quakes before the big one hits, the same thing might be occurring to the Philippines now.

    • They do get quakes of this mag there often – it depends on the depth. Go to iris.edu/seismon/
I think there is somewhere on the site you can find out what the depth of any quake. Its always up to speed too!

  14. Japan quake loaded stress on fault closer to Tokyo
    Mar 21/By ROBIN McDOWELL
    excerpt:
JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) – The recent monster quake that hit northeastern Japan altered the earth’s surface, geologists say, loading stress onto a different segment of the fault line much closer to Tokyo.

Experts are quick to point out that this doesn’t mean a powerful earthquake is necessarily about to strike the Japanese capital. Even if it did, the structure of the tectonic plates and fault lines around the city makes it unlikely that Tokyo would be hit by a quake anywhere near the intensity of the 9.0-magnitude one that struck March 11, said Roger Musson of the British Geological Survey

But, given the vast population – Tokyo and its surroundings are home to 39 million people – any strong temblor could be devastating.
“Even if you’ve got, let’s say, a 7.5, that would be serious,” the seismologist said.

Japan is located on the Ring of Fire, an arc of volcanos and fault lines spanning the Pacific Basin, and is regularly hit by earthquakes.
But before last week’s quake – the largest to hit the country since it started keeping records 130 years ago – few geologists considered Japan to be a strong candidate for a 9-plus earthquake, said Andrew Moore, of Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana.

There is mounting evidence, however, that Japan has been struck by several severe quakes in the last 3,500 years – most in the northern reaches of the country. Sand deposits indicate that several quakes have spawned 30-foot-high (9-meter-high) waves that slammed into the northern island of Hokkaido, he said, the most recent in the 17th century.

Similar deposits underlie the city of Sendai – the area rocked last week – with the most recent from an 869 A.D. tsunami that killed 1,000 people and washed more than 2.5 miles (three kilometers) inland.
And even weaker quakes that hit Tokyo in the past have caused significant damage.

But last week’s tremor changed the coastal landscape – and not just above sea-level. It created a trench in the sea floor 240 miles long (380 kilometers long) and 120 miles wide (190 kilometers wide) as one tectonic plate dove 30 feet (nine meters) beneath another, said Eric Fielding of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

While that relieved stress at the breaking point, it appears to have piled pressure onto adjacent segments, said Brian Atwater, a geologist with the U.S. Geological Survey.
That added strain could now trigger a strong, deadly aftershock on Tokyo’s doorstep.

“We believe … the faults which bound the fragment were brought closer to failure by the magnitude-9 quake,” Ross said.

  16. First attempts to calculate Tokyo’s quake risk
    23 March 2011 /Michael Marshall, environment reporter
    newscientist.com/blogs/shortsharpscience/2011/03/is-tokyo-at-increased-risk-of.html

As if the thousands killed, injured or displaced by the Japanese earthquake and tsunami hasn’t caused the country enough distress, there are now reports that the megaquake may have increased the chance of a major earthquake hitting Tokyo. But seismologists are emphasising that any such claims are extremely tentative.

Ross Stein of the US Geological Survey in Menlo Park, California, and his colleagues are running the numbers to try and work out how the magnitude-9 quake has affected seismicity in the region. Stein told me:
Nothing we can do now is firm. We are performing very simple and naive calculations.
The threat was set out by the Associated Press:

Last week’s tremor… relieved stress at the breaking point [but] appears to have piled pressure onto adjacent segments… That added strain could now trigger a strong, deadly aftershock on Tokyo’s doorstep.
ABC News, Fox News and Metro News all picked up the story.

The basic idea is straightforward. As the plates of Earth’s surface move slowly past each other, they sometimes get stuck and stress builds up. Eventually a critical threshold is reached and the plates lurch forwards, causing an earthquake. The movement of one plate can then change the stresses operating on its neighbours, leaving some of those neighbouring regions at greater risk of experiencing a large earthquake.

But as Richard Luckett, a seismologist at the British Geological Survey in Edinburgh, explains, the problem is working out what has happened to the different plates, and to the many faults that could, in theory, produce a quake. Luckett says the quake will have changed all the faults under Japan:

There’s no reason why it should be one fault rather than any other. We also don’t know which ones were close enough to rupturing for this to be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.
It’s particularly difficult to work out what will happen in Tokyo, as it sits near the boundary of three separate tectonic plates (see diagram).

Stein, working with Shinji Toda of Kyoto University in Japan, is trying to resolve this problem using stress transfer calculations. His method treats the Earth’s surface as a stiff block of rubber, which he then breaks up to represent the different plates:

You cut into it with a carving knife and displace the two sides, then glue them back together with crazy glue. The rubber ends up distorted, and there are stresses that are greater nearer the cut.
Using this type of model, he has calculated how the stresses have changed since the big quake, to identify which faults have been pushed closer to failure and which further away. Some early results are available on his website, but he has repeatedly revised them over the last few days and expects to continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

The results suggest that the risk of a big quake in Tokyo is now higher than it was before the quake, but there is no way to put a figure on the overall increase in risk.
According to the calculations, the most affected fault is the Sagami Trough, an undersea trench south of Tokyo at the junction of the three plates. Stress on a region of this fault that is thought to have caused the 1923 Great Kant? earthquake appears to have eased. But another area, further out to sea and linked to the 1703 Genroku earthquake, is apparently closer to rupturing. The neighbouring Tokai fault, long treated as a risk, may also be slightly more stressed.

But these predictions should be taken with a big pinch of salt. Stein himself calls the calculations “ridiculously naive” and “frail”, emphasising the enormous uncertainties:
Earth’s rubberiness varies from place to place. The amount of slip from the quake is poorly known. Which faults are active is also only crudely known.
For now, detailed earthquake predictions are still out of reach. The aftershocks are rumbling on, but we can only make educated guesses about where they will strike next.

  20. Spent the day listening on Sounds True network to their audio’s of spiritual people on itunes link. In particular Greg Braden who talked of cycles of 50,000 years and who said we are in the end of such a cycle and the same things always happen and this time is no different. The interviewer said “so you mean all this need for green etc really isn’t necessary etc” and he replied that we should do these things. Don’t know that he ever took a firm stand here – think I might have fallen asleep.
These audio casts on Sounds True are freebe’s like more marketing but good. People like Thomas Moore Care of the soul. Freeman. about 80 audio’s. All immensely interesting. 50,000 year cycle that was new to me.

    • Hi Charyl – I think Greg was refering to the 52,000 cycle that is allied with the precession of the equinoxes – I have heard him talk of such, in relation to the Mayan Calendar – the basis. more commonly understood, is that the cycle repeats every 26,000 years, and that within this time we have the opportunity to raise our game, to realise our potential for evolution that is intrinsic to it – the question of the interviewer, whether the ‘green etc’ is neccessary, is both as impudent and as pertinent as you can get – the understanding of the potential for change within the cycle is that if we don’t make the leap, we will simply have to start again on another 26,000 year cycle, and go through all the re-building and re-establishment of technologies, both material and spiritual, that we have achieved formerly – we risk the same amnesia we have to former civilisations that have attemted ths leap, been through the cycle, and come acropa – so, behind this is an understanding that our ancestors have done just this, yet fallen prey to the same hubris and shortcomings that we see ourselves suffering the effects of in our time, at our own hands – the onus is on us to make it happen differently this time, so, I am sure that Greg would have answered that if we miss the opportunity, we will lose more than we can possibly imagine – given this is tied into the Mayan Calendar the further implication is that we have very little time left to make the shift – we are seeing a new consciousness emerging and events in the ME, our reactions to the EQs and the nuclear meltdown threats are giving us glimmers of hope that we can do it – world connectivity is aiding and abeting it – but, there are forces at work in the world that are resisting it, mainly human – it, the visionary impulse that is carried in our potential to evolve beyond the current miasm, has to become endemic and grounded, this is our task – the alternatives are……..

      hope this helps

    • Charyl – thank you for this.
Greg Braden is a good guy and an excellent researcher/lecturer – however I do not believe he is an enlightened Master, so take what he says with the grain of your own wisdom. I personally prefer the ancient Sanskrit views on the Cycyles of Time.

      metaphysicalmusing.com/articles/time.htm

And here is an excerpt of Greg’s views on this matter:
      And Braden offers his answers.
According to Braden, the end of any age is accompanied by a period of brief but significant intensity, and he says we are in those times now. These outer changes inspire us to look within for answers.

And, he says, it is no accident that we are here at the moment of great change – the very same science that heralds doom and gloom, also offers the answer: what is required is a new language. And he explores what that language might be.

      Science tell us that:
      1. In the center core of the Milky Way Galaxy is a great source of energy, a powerful, pulsing, magnetic field that affects us.
      2. Where our planet is in her orbit determines how we are affected by this magnetic field of energy. The location changes on a regular basis over long cycles of time which can be calculated. Ancient Egyptian and Mayan civilizations knew about this, but we couldn’t confirm it scientifically until the 1990’s with the use of the Hubble telescope.
      3. The Earth also “wobbles” on its axis, due to the gravitational pull of the sun and moon. This “wobbling” affects how outer space appears when viewed from Earth. One complete wobble takes almost 26,000 years. This 26,000 year cycle is composed of 12 shorter cycles of slightly over 5000 years each, and is called the Precession of the Equinox.
      4. The Milky Way galaxy is shaped like a disc. Our solar system is positioned toward the outer portions of the galaxy.

On Dec. 21st, 2012, when the solstic sun rises, our planet will be in perfect alignment with the core of the Milky Way Galaxy for the first time in over 5,000 years, giving us an an unobstructed window to our galaxy’s source energy. This moment is the ending of a 5000 year cycle, as well as the ending of the 26,000 year cycle.

But this isn’t the first time this has happened. This is a cycle that our little planet has gone through many times.

      • apologies Susan – didn’t see your comment on this until I’d posted my own, but, glad for the detail and confirmation

      • Rob and Susan. I had amnesia but you reminded me that I’d heard this story before but maybe didn’t quite grasp it. The picture wasn’t totally clear yet so yes this helps. thanks.
Why don’t we talk more about the 60’s generation, the pluto Uranus X generation. I’ve already said that I personally see an underground swell towards the OPEN gates, meaning it’s time. David Stone in the book “Ascension Manual” 1994(Neptune/Uranus conj time)gives reason why they have opened in an unprecendented opportunity for upward movement in mass numbers.
Also pluto/uranus is interpreted as uncontrollable natural disaster’s.
Charlie Sheen has that placement and with mars close to conj. neptune/scorpio is obsessed not only with drugs but with anger at the movie industry and letting the mass be aware. Not underground that’s for sure but war on the win/lose power society.
Too I wonder if it’s only earlier generations that need to leap but the 60’s X generation gets to walk it through taking away that fearful expectation of leaping off into the darkness.
Yes, mostly what I remembered was that we’ve come to the core of the cycle (s) as you said both potent and endings.
I personally don’t think we’ll lose the underground gains of that generation’s progress upward. Can’t see it. I think that part is a matter of awarenesses that there is hidden movement.
Poetically, the groundswell of the earth is the outer of the inner. Yet I quess I’m limited too – talk about total memory loss through the electromagnetic changes. All that knowledge from science that I’ve listened to through that prophet that died the same time as Liz Taylor. Havn’t got his name down yet. Listened to that yesterday as well.
Well, so glad Monday is D Day of jupiter saturn and we can move on hopefully making the most of this 111 year. Take the last two digits of your year of birth, add your age and it will all come out to 111. Money I’m told.
