New Moon May 2026 Spiritual Meaning

There are two main features of the New Moon May 2026 astrology. The first Venus sextile Mars, and the second is the fixed star Algol.

The Sun-Moon-Mercury at the midpoint of Venus sextile Mars, is a very positive influence that encourages diplomacy, cooperation and peace. Algol is the most challenging fixed star of all; there is a reason its name means “Ghoul.”

But Algol can have a positive influence when well-aspected, as it is here. Take, for example, Donald Trump with Midheaven conjunct Algol. His career has been astonishingly successful, with two terms as the leader of the world’s superpower.

Algol is well-aspected in Donald Trump’s horoscope, semisextile Sun, sextile Venus and sextile Saturn. But even when well-aspected, Algol causes difficulties and obstacles. That is why I predicted “Donald Trump is at risk of being assassinated by a shot to the head or neck” when I first posted his horoscope back in 2015. Algol is associated with murder and decapitation, and it “rules one-quarter inch up the base of the neck.” There could be yet another attempt in the weeks ahead.

Only Donald Trump can end the war with Iran. He started it. New Moon May 2026, conjunct his Midheaven, at the midpoint of Venus sextile Mars, brings the chance of peace. However, there is always the risk of extreme misfortune with Algol. For example, Israel (Sun conjunct Algol) could sabotage his efforts again.

On the horizon, war is more likely than peace when it comes to China (IC and POF conjunct Algol) because Taiwan has Mars conjunct Algol.

Taking all the fixed stars together, there is a risk of controversies, conspiracies, the leaking of secrets and the spreading of seditious rumors, as well as “the observation of strange occurrences in the mountains and forests.”
