Lunar Eclipse November 8, 2022 – Recession Fears

Lunar Eclipse November 2022 AstrologyThe Full Moon in Taurus on November 8, 2022, is a Total Lunar Eclipse. It aligns with Mercury opposite Uranus. So the meaning of the Lunar Eclipse November 2022 astrology is using flexibility and open-mindedness to adapt to rapidly changing conditions.

The Full Moon November 2022 astrology is also influenced by Saturn. The eclipse extends Saturn square Uranus’s influence and aligns with a Saturn-like star. So the November 8 Lunar Eclipse will continue to make people scared and uncertain about the future. It increases the risk of a prolonged global recession.

Lunar Eclipse November 2022 Astrology

The Full Moon on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at 16°00′ Taurus aligns with Mercury opposite Uranus. Finally, weaker square aspects create a T-Square pattern with Saturn at the apex.

Full Moon November 2022 Meaning

Like a regular Full Moon, only stronger, the Sun opposite the Moon of a Lunar Eclipse brings your home, family, and intimate relationships into sharper focus. And the Lunar Eclipse November 2022 astrology is powerful because this is a Total Lunar Eclipse.

Opposing forces, such as work versus home or what you need versus what you want, create inner tension and external pressures. This can lead to conflict and crises that drain your energy. But a Lunar Eclipse represents a resetting of your emotions, clearing away the emotional baggage of the previous six months.

The lunar qualities of emotions and instincts peak at a Full Moon. So use your increased emotional strength and intuition to overcome any relationship challenges. Subconscious awareness allows for an impartial and balanced look at your relationships. You will see more clearly any relationship dynamics or negative feelings causing disharmony.

Lunar Eclipse November 2022 Aspects

The planetary aspects below are listed in order of strength: Mercury > Uranus > Saturn.

Mercury

Full Moon opposite Mercury makes it harder to understand your feelings and to share them. Scrambled or polarized thinking can make it challenging to find inner balance and relax. It can also make it harder to make sense of everyday problems.

Arguments are possible because of emotional bias or a simple lack of understanding. Other symptoms can include confusion, anxiety, prejudice, racism, and addiction. Extra care needs to be taken with negotiations, critical decisions, and sensitive discussion topics.

Uranus

Full Moon conjunct Uranus begins radical changes, a strong need for independence, emotional volatility and erratic behavior. You may feel impatient, restless, anxious, impulsive, or rebellious. Sudden events may result in relationship upsets, family disputes, or a significant change in direction regarding close relationships.

The November 2022 Lunar Eclipse with Uranus heightens your intuition and can bring psychic awareness and flashes of insight. However, the Moon is opposite the Sun and Mercury and square Saturn. So your intuition may be unreliable and influenced by fears and pessimism.

Mercury opposite Uranus increases the speed of life with more errands, interactions and surprises. A low concentration span and a tendency to be easily distracted can complicate communications. Rushed and scattered thinking could lead to mistakes and accidents.

So take extra care to listen and try not to speak before thinking. Otherwise, arguments and conflict are possible. Making plans, negotiating business deals, or attending to any mental tasks which require patience and self-discipline become more complicated.

Flexibility and adaptability are essential. Plans may need changing because of unexpected events, technology breakdowns or travel interruptions. You could meet stimulating people who challenge your thinking. Increased open-mindedness can lead to exciting opportunities.

Saturn

Full Moon square Saturn has a restricting and depressing influence that makes it harder to share your feelings. Tests, challenges and heavy responsibilities can lead to pessimism, loss and disappointment. This Full Moon November 2022 astrology aspect may result in sadness, loneliness, guilt, shame or grief.

Unhealthy or codependent relationships involving abuse or addiction may end. Even apparently normal relationships can suffer from emotional coldness, moodiness, nagging or bullying. Hard work, patience, persistence and a responsible attitude will reduce the risk of such adverse outcomes.

Mercury square Saturn makes communicating your plans and ideas more difficult because of negative thinking and misunderstandings. Gloomy thoughts, bad news, or loneliness can negatively affect your mental well-being. Arguments, criticism and meanness are possible. There may be some distance or separation in close relationships.

Patience and attention to detail are needed. Do not rely on the words of others, and be careful with your own. Take your time with important decisions and negotiations. Seek trusted, professional advice in contracts, business, or legal matters.

Saturn square Uranus is waning and almost finished. But this activation by a Total Lunar Eclipse will extend the fear and uncertainty about the future for at least six more months. This significant aspect has coincided with millions of deaths, curtailment of freedom, and political and financial instability because of the pandemic. We can expect more restrictions, natural disasters, severe changes, and unexpected setbacks.

Full Moon November 2022 T-Square

The red triangle in the Lunar Eclipse November 2022 astrology chart is termed a T-Square or an Achievement Triangle. [1] With only red aspects, it is charged with energy. Red promotes action, achievement, and the attainment of goals.

With no blue aspects, there is no possibility for relaxation. With no green aspects, one acts without thinking. T-Squares promote an “act first, think later” mentality and not the other way around, which means that mistakes can be easily made.

Energy is stored and bottled up in the oppositions. Sun-Mercury opposite Moon-Uranus creates very erratic, unstable and impulsive energy. It is discharged along the squares towards the apex of the T-square. With Saturn at the apex, the goal is to achieve stability and security.

However, applying too much discipline and restriction to restore order will result in unsuccessful energy transfers leading to rigid states of awareness. An inability to adapt to change will result in the same mistakes being made repeatedly.

Lunar Eclipse November 2022 Constellations

The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse of November 2022 is in the Sign of Taurus. But as the star map below shows, it is actually in the Constellation of Aries. This discrepancy is due to the precession of the equinoxes. It has moved the Sun Signs almost a whole Sign out of alignment with the Constellations from which they were named over 2000 years ago. The Zodiac was invented initially only as a measuring device. Astrologers had always used the visible constellation and their stars for astrological interpretation.

Lunar Eclipse November 2022 Astrology

Lunar Eclipse November 2022 [Stellarium]

The November 8 Lunar Eclipse does not align with any major fixed stars in the Aries Constellation. But it is within the orb of Alpha Ceti, Menkar at 14°38′ Taurus on the Nose of the Whale or Sea Monster.

The Sea Monster

Constellation Cetus is said to cause laziness and idleness but to confer an emotional and charitable nature, with the ability to command, especially in war. Makes one amiable, prudent, and happy by sea and land and helps to recover lost goods. [2]

Fixed star Menkar causes disease, disgrace, ruin, injury from beasts, sickness, and loss of fortune. [1] It has a Saturnine character, corresponding to impediments of many kinds, worries, and tests of endurance; in some, this hardens and toughens the individual. [3]

With Moon: Mental anxiety, hatred of the vulgar, ill-will of women, danger from thieves, sickness to native and family, loss of marriage partner or near relative, quarrels, legal losses, legacies and inheritances attended by much evil. [2]

Full Moon November 2022 Summary

The November 2022 Full Moon is more powerful than a regular Full Moon because it is a Total Lunar Eclipse. And this is a particularly powerful Eclipse. The totality of the November 8 Lunar Eclipse lasts 86 minutes which is well above average. It is the longest Total Lunar Eclipse until June 2029.

Mercury opposite Uranus aligning so closely with Sun opposite Moon adds to the power and intensity of this Lunar Eclipse. It will make people anxious, erratic and unpredictable. With Saturn at the apex of a T-Square, much effort will be needed to maintain order and stability. But the very nature of Mercury opposite Uranus and the T-square means mistakes will be made.

Mercury is the most potent planetary influence on the November 2022 Lunar Eclipse astrology. It rules trade and currencies. The lunar eclipse aligned with Mercury opposite Uranus will make the financial markets unpredictable and erratic with big swings. And the square to Saturn suggests they will be on the downside. Business partners may be unreliable, and many deals will fall through. Trade may be interrupted or restricted. There will be bankruptcies, job losses, foreclosures and a global recession.

Mercury also rules thinking. Chaotic change and unexpected bad news will continue to make people scared and uncertain about the future. Election day in the USA could see changes favoring conservatives or based on fear. With the eclipse conjunct with a Saturn-like star and Saturn at the apex of the T-square, there is a risk of negative thinking turning into a depression.

Eclipse Phases

Astrologically, a full moon is influenced by the preceding new moon. The October 25 Solar Eclipse creates uncertainty and dissatisfaction related to love and money. Important decisions about what makes you truly happy and content must be made.

The influence of the October 25 Solar Eclipse combines with that of the November 8 Lunar Eclipse. They form an eclipse phase that lasts about six months up to the Solar Eclipse on April 20, 2023.

  1. Despite the lunar eclipse I really think that people’s fear of the loss of democracy, the pro-choice movement, threats to limit people’s rights and potential cutbacks on Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare that various conservative politicians are advocating are going to have a much larger impact on the outcome of the primaries than the polls and people think.

  2. I would imagine that being as it is an eclipse the nodes will play a pivotal role through those opposing forces of our karmic pasts and futures, especially due to the total reliance on unreliable forecasting and computer generated predictions, which simply do not and can not, take the human element or nature itself into account, nature doesn’t have to adhere to our rules or schedules or do what we want, its a natural needs based mechanism. Anyway, I would think the Sth Node in close enough contact to the Sun in Scorpio will be delighted to expose past dirty dealings and abuse of power along with the excesses and extremes that we really do need to reduce quite substantially. even if we dont want to or no matter how inconvenient it may be. I do however wonder how much poetic justice is involved, given the dreadful mess we as a whole, have created. I mean nature will take care of it, itself, its been doing so for billions of years, but if we keep on being a pest, to quote George Calin RIP, the planet will just shake us of like fleas from a dog….

    • Saturn’s aspects always have uper hand in a matters. When Saturn gets involved in heavy aspects there will be no other power who can balance or reduce Saturn’s nasty dealings. Unfortunately this time he will creats havoc with the Moon and seems never ending battle with Uranus continue.
We should not forget that once up on time Saturn was our Planet’s sun…..

  3. Also to add that given Taurus is involved, language is the foundation of cultures, the lack of which is likely a big part of constant misunderstandings and misinterpretations, lets face it our modern day language is modern day speak, not language. The language of a culture is the family friendly version, which we share when we commune together, without which the culture collapses along with the society that was built upon it and the economy that grew from that. I dont know much about politics or the economy but I have learned a lot about language in my life and its way more than what we credit it with being now adays.

  4. Thank you for this review Jamie, always interesting to read your forecasts and summaries, however I have a question for your consideration. Although recession is a factor with many supporting aspects from wars, post-covid and political personalities all playing their part (for which each will have varying impacts and planetary influence) will a lunar eclipse (which I look ahead to see if I’m within the shadow zone) have as a great an influence in areas where the eclipse will not be visible. In the past astrology would surely have been based on real-life observations, an eclipse over the horizon – if not seen did it happen? Or does modern tools and planetary understanding give more encompassing insight? Thanks again and hope you have a brilliant weekend Jamie.

    • Hi GB. I remember reading some research on the effect of eclipses where they are visible. More so solar eclipses from memory. But I believe they do effect us all, Just like a Sun transit will effect you at night, or the effect of Uranus even though we cannot see it.

  5. Another six months? Aiyeee! Being comfortable in the present is becoming a vague memory.

  6. Something I thought about last night that I should have included: This eclipse is very polarizing because of Mercury opposite Uranus aligned with Sun opposite Moon. Just what you need on election day!

  7. Hi. I read recently about purple dawn theory , in which earth had a perpetual dawn not day nor night, color violet -reason that why such color is used in esoterism — but the sun took earth in its orbite so Saturn was our sun Anymore… in ocultism is called the black sun. It’s the only planet of our solar system as a choice we were a moon from Saturn but we crashed on venus and it lost its moon today called mercury, same with neptune losing its moon pluto at kuiper belt, so planet vulcano crashed into sun and us inclined our exe so seas changed positions AND now we have season 🌺☀️🍁❄️
And also in Greek mythology Saturn was the biggest power because he was the Sun and the father of Jupiter, Neptune,Pluto and Uranus. His children especially Jupiter started rebel against him. The period when Saturn was a sun was called golden age. It was paradise on our earth.

    • Aye. Certainly puts things into perspective when one studies the tarot and it’s decans, no? Five of wands is attributed to 0-10 degree Leo and is governed by Saturn. I certainly believe things where quite different “in here” prior the the emergence of the babylonian agricultural calendar.

    • Thank you, your sharing is a very helpful expansion upon other bits of this I have heard & read!

  8. Yikes! Astro King paints a downbeat picture. However, I’d rather some straight shooting from Jamie than talk of rainbows and unicorns that some astrologers write.
Looking at the chart, I still reckon that Mars in retrograde mode (revision, looking inward, looking back, healing yourself, and building your energy for new starts next year) is what’s needed here. BUT, Saturn’s guidance and responsibilities must also be adhered to before moving forward. Saturn points to government, business, parents/parenting and the weight of responsibility. So, combine Mars and Saturn for best results. Tough but doable with delayed and restructured, potentially positive, results.

  9. You awake in the early hours.

You hear a rustling sound and think it’s a rat beneath the house,

BUT actually it’s in the corner of your bedroom.

You then pay close attention to the sound.

    It then becomes a ‘Staff’.

The staff then stomps at your feet,

then works it way around to your head.

All awhile stomping at certain points,

as it works it way around.

Blood chills from the head and then goes to your feet.

The staff then comes around for a second time,

    reaches your head,

and you jump to your toes and turn the light on.

    At some point,reality sets in,

    along with FAITH.

  10. Saturn was said to be a brown dwarf star before the biblical flood, it was said to be fixed in the heavens at the celestial north. Troy D. McLachlan has written a book about it. Thunderboltsproject also has a good channel about the electric universe theory at youtoilet.

  11. A theory,

    on something you’ve read’

    NOT SAW.

Purple hue at dawn and sunset.

    Age of Aquarius,

    is something you see,

    and experience.

    Not what one reads,

    BUT,by looking out your window.

  12. Looking briefly at the eclipse chart in relation to Biden:
Sun is conjunct his Mars and should give him a fighting spirit and the ability to reach consensus and balanced opinion. He should use this energy, along with his natal charm (Sun conjunct Venus) to unite his party and the electorate. Saturn is in a weakening trine to its natal placement in his chart but the support is still there. Mercury is coming into a conjunction with his natal mercury so communication should be good BUT with a square transiting Saturn, he’ll be tested getting his message across and he may get confused or forgettful. Jupiter is good for politics and it’s currently in a trine to his natal placement. However, Jupiter is retrograde so will be pulling in past favours and ‘good’ karma from his supporters until it moves forward again later this month. Uranus energy might blindside him and he may loose his cool emotionally. He would need to respond quickly but in a very measured fashion.
Looking forward, a ‘big ticket’ transit for him will be Mars retrograding into conjunction (again) with his natal Saturn early next year. Falls with broken bones? Thinking about his own mortality and if he is up for the race for a second term?

  13. The votes are still to be counted in our (US) history making election, but I think the Progressive candidates prevailed.

Mercury and Uranus focused our (US) voters’ thoughts on issues like safe and medically advised abortion (not the local cops), healthcare, and the future (Uranus) — instead of disdain for the working class (Taureans?) as the Republicans project in their hot mike moments.

In my opinion, the girls will win, as female voters outnumber men in most elections here, and every anti-abortion measure went down.

So to all the world — relax a little. The authoritarian Red Wave of Doom didn’t get voted in yet. Thank you, mothers of America for taking charge of the situation and voting for peace and productivity instead.

So the lunar eclipse seems to have portended change, but by ballot not bullet. Thank the stars!

Thank you, Jamie for your kind platform for me to rant. Cheers!

(And let the No-bots eviscerate my little scree.
    Haha 😉 )

    • Admiring the waning Moon rising here tonight (in the US Pacific Northwest). We had clouds during the lunar eclipse (as seems normal, generally). Of course it cleared off the very next day. It is high in Cancer right now.

So far, the election favors Democrats in the US Senate, and an outside chance of retaining control of the House of Representatives. No one knows yet, but I am glad everyone is waiting for the lawful outcome of our actually very error-free voting system. Enjoy the misty moonlight everyone!

  14. Haha Anne! You be right on that one. Wishing and hyping things don’t necessarily make them so. Results are a case in point. But how to see through all that muck that is thrown at me.
