ε Ursae Majoris has the traditional and official name Alioth, ultimately from the Arabic al-jaun, “the Black Horse, or Bull,” which became corrupted even in Arabic sources. [2]

The star’s Hindu name is Angiras, one of the seven rishis or sages. Angiras was said to teach divine knowledge and mediate between gods and humans. In Chinese astronomy, ε Ursae Majoris is called Yù Héng (玉衡), or the Star of Jade Sighting-Tube. [1]

Alioth Astrology

Fixed star Alioth has the spectral type A1, indicating the planetary nature of Venus.

ALIOTH. ε Ursae Majoris. A blue-white star in the tail of the Bear. Spectral type AO. This star imparts to its natives good judgment, love of life, ease and comfort, grandly liberal, criticism, ruthlessness, sternness, power to win over others, sublime destruction, obstinacy, egotism. [3]

Alioth can signify great respect given to the individual for services well given. [4]

Constellation Ursa Major

According to Ptolemy, Ursa Major is like Mars. It is said to give a quiet, prudent, suspicious, mistrustful, self-controlled, patient nature, but an uneasy spirit and great anger and revengefulness when roused. By the Kabalists it is associated with the Hebrew letter Zain and the 7th Tarot Trump “The Chariot.” [5]

Astrologically, both Bears were said to presage an evil influence. They are particularly injurious as regards to the affairs of nations and kings. [6]

  1. Conjuncts sun. This one is not easy for me. With my ongoing dilemma, all the past abuse parades through my mind. I guess I can understand how some would lash out in violence considering this. But that is not in my script, mars retro and all that. More like others guilty conscience’s project their fear of violent reaction on me. So as difficult as it is, once again I seek to get my jupiter conj zosmos going. That’s a tough journey, alot of hard hard very time consuming work, but I don’t really have a choice, do I?

I guess the upside is my critical thinking ability to ferret out solutions. Problem solver at core.

Hopefully this chart will aide in the career of those investigating the Digital System caper, an enigmatic tale that appears to have been set off at Cryptocoin Hoax trial Jury announcement, Moon conjunct Sirius, Manhattan 2 Nov, and culminating at Cord Unplugged, Moon conjunct Alioth. SEAus, 8 Nov. TechnIcal assistance by Elon Musk, and Nebulous SEAsia countries, Grok feed; et al

  5. Chart of the Moment ‘Cord Unplugged’ link doesn’t work, and probably by design. Capricorn is Rising, 24°, conjunct Pluto if one a applies the chart to Australia. A Saturn personality would say “the Aussie version is garbage, take it out'” and indeed it would be, Venus 29Virgo, void. I don’t know the peculiarities of cryptocoin, proof-of-concept, proof-of work, but it appears we are in a Gray area: Is that my chart? Not my chart? How applicable is it to the investigation? And I have default location in Cambridge Ont, but I’m down the road 33 km, in another city.

  6. Alijah (hebräisch עליה, Plural Alijot) means to rise up and call for reading the torah in the synagoge…is this star name of jewish origin ? Does anyone know something about that ?

  7. And – Jamie – what would you say bout pluto on this star ? Like with mars “power to overcome the masses’ or win over the masses” or even stronger in this direction ? Or more “over-critical” ? (that comes maybe from his position in the maiden…)

    • It’s hard to say Klaus. I have not included and celebrities with this star. Rigor even suggests not using fixed star with planets further out than Jupiter.
