Fixed Star Regulus

Leo Constellation [Stellarium]

The Sun joins Regulus on August 22

Fixed star Regulus, Alpha Leonis, is a multiple star system located in the heart of the Lion, Leo Constellation. Combined magnitude 1.35, spectral type B8, color blue-white.

Regulus appears singular but is a quadruple star system composed of four stars that are organized into two pairs: Regulus A (a spectroscopic binary) and Regulus BC. As shown below, the light output of the star system is dominated by Regulus A:

  • Regulus A, magnitude 1.40, spectral type B8 IVn.
  • Regulus B, magnitude 8.13, spectral type K2 V.
  • Regulus C, magnitude 13.5, spectral type M4 V.

The traditional name Regulus is Latin for ‘prince‘ or ‘little king.’ In Arabic, it is قلب الأسد (Qalb al-Asad, ‘the heart of the lion‘), the same as the Latin Cor Leōnis and Greek Kardia Leontos.

In Chinese, it is 轩辕十四, the Fourteenth Star of Xuanyuan, the Yellow Emperor. In Babylonian, it was Sharru, ‘the King,‘ and LUGAL, ‘the star that stands in the breast of the Lion: the King.’

In Persian, it was Miyan, ‘the Centre,‘ andPersian monarchy’s  Venant, one of ththe Persian monarchy, where in 3,000 BC, as the Watcher of the North, it marked the summer solstice.

Symbolically the Crushing Foot, Regulus is associated with the healing Archangel Raphael, one of the four Archangel stars, characterized as the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse (Revelations 6) and Chariot Horses in the Book of Zechariah (The White went North).

Regulus Astrology

Ptolemy (100 BC) said Regulus was like Mars and Jupiter. Anonymous (379 AD) [5] said Jupiter and Mars. The spectral type of the main star (Regulus A) is B8, indicating a Jupiter nature. The secondary star (Regulus B) has a K2 spectra which indicates a Mars nature. Regulus A is about six times brighter than Regulus B.

REGULUS. α Lonis. A trip triple star is situated on the Lion’s bodyrine, situated on the body of the Lion. From Regulus, a Little King, and often called Cor Leonis, the Lion’s Heart, and symbolically the Crushing Foot. It was one of the four Royal Stars of the Persians in 3,000 B.C., when, as Watcher of the North, it marked the summer solstice.

According to Ptolemy, it is of the nature of Mars and Jupiter, but most later authors liken it to Mars only, while Alvidas states that it is similar to the Sun in good aspect to Uranus. It gives violence, destructiveness, military honor of short duration, with ultimate failure, imprisonment, violent death, success, high and lofty ideals and strength of spirit, and makes its natives magnanimous, grandly liberal, generous, ambitious, fond of power, desirous of command, high-spirited and independent.

Regulus was one of the fifteen Behenian Fixed Stars, associated with granite, mugwort, celandine, mastic and the kabbalistic symbol Agrippa1531 corLeonis.png. Its image is a lion, cat, or an honorable person seated in a chair. It makes the wearer temperate, gives favor and appeases wrath. [1]

REGULUS. α Leonis. A triple star, white and light blue. (B8). This star imparts to its natives martial honors, great authority, success, a fondness for power and authority, the ability to command, a native who appears to be grandly liberal, high-spirited native, independence, benefits that seldom last, victory over enemies, scandalous actions, turbulence (violence), failures and greatness that suffers an eclipse.

NOTE: Nativities having Regulus in conjunction with their celestial objects generally “leave their mark” on posterity, however there is always the danger, if they are in public view, of public dissatisfaction hovering over them, and in particular if the nativity is in conjunction with the star Alphard[6]

Regulus. Alpha Leonis, 1st Magnitude. Regulus, the Little King in the Heart of the Lion, called the Royal Star, may convey royal properties, noble mind, frankness, and courage. The importance of this fixed star is accentuated by its nearness to the ecliptic. Its effect is in the best sense that of Jupiter and Mars. When Mars or Saturn is in  with Regulus, especially exciting events are always recorded, e.g., assasinstions, coup d’états, revolutions, the overthrow of heads of state and similar events. [2]

Regulus is one of the most fortunate stars in the heavens. It portends glory, riches, and power to all who are born under its influence. Proclus (412-485) called Regulus the “Royal Star” and asserted that those born under it have a royal-like nativity. In judicial astrology, however, the dimming of the star presaged evil times. A Ninevite tablet, according to R.A. Allen, states: “If the star of the great lion is gloomy, the heart of the people will not rejoice.” [4]

Regulus rules two inches below the top of the kidneys. [3]

Regulus marks the beginning of the 8th nakshatra (Hindu lunar mansion), Magha (the bountiful): A severe asterism belonging to the Shudra caste and favorable for acts of disgrace, destruction, deceit, imprisonment, beating, burning and poison when containing the Moon. Those born on the lunar day will be wealthy, fond of hills, merchants, valiant, and women haters. With Moon here at birth, the native will be wealthy, religious, contented, well-served, and fond of life. Rules grain boxes and the lips and upper mouth.

Regulus also marks the beginning of the 8th manzil (Arabic lunar mansion): The Forehead. Strengthens buildings, promotes love, benevolence, and help against enemies. With Moon here, sow, plant, release prisoners but take no purgatives.

Leo Constellation

Ptolemy makes the following observations: “Of the stars in Leo, two in the head are like Saturn and partly like Mars. The three in the neck are like Saturn, and in some degree like Mercury. . . . Those in the loins . . . Saturn and Venus: those in the thighs resemble Venus, and, in some degree, Mercury.” It is said that the stars in the neck, back and wing all bring trouble, disgrace and sickness affecting the part of the body ruled by the sign, especially if they happen to be in conjunction with the Moon. By the Kabalists, Leo is associated with the Hebrew letter Kaph and the 11th Tarot Trump “Strength.” [1]

In mundane astrology, Leo Constellation is associated with royal events, especially the ascension or death of kings and queens, the election or death of heads of state, assassinations, uprisings and massacres, currency and the stock exchange, the Vatican and European Union.

Fixed Star Regulus Conjunctions

Ascendant conjunct Regulus: Military honor and preferment. Great honor and wealth, but violence and trouble, sickness, fevers, acute disease, benefits seldom last, favor of the great, victory over enemies and scandal.

The 145th Consideration of Guido Bonnets is as follows: -” That thou see in Diurnal Nativities whether Cor Leonis be in the Ascendant, that is to say, in the Oriental Line or above it one degree or below it three degrees; or whether it be in the tenth in like degrees, without the Conjunction or Aspect of any of the Fortunes, for this alone signifies that the Native shall be a person of great note and power, too much exalted, and attain to high preferment and honors, although descended from the meanest parents. And, if any of the Fortunes behold that place also, his glory shall be the more increased; but, if the Nativity be nocturnal, his fortune will be somewhat meaner, but not much; but if the Infortunes cast their aspects there it will still be more mean; but if the Fortunes behold it also they will augment the good promised a fourth part, and mitigate the evil as much; yet still, whatever of all this happens, it signifies that the Native shall die an unhappy death; or at least that all his honors, greatness and power shall at last suffer an eclipse and set in a cloud. [1]

On the Ascendant, it will give a courageous and frank character, especially if in conjunction with the Sun, Moon, Jupiter or Mercury. [2]

A splendid and illustrious life; glorious, mighty and commanding nature; fame, busy with many activities, bountiful resources, well known or feared in cities and regions. Prosperity from youth and in own city. Illustrious generals who subjugate regions and cities and peoples, govern, are inclined to act, are submissive, speak frankly, have a taste for fighting, and carry out their purposes. They are effective, virile, victorious, harm their enemies, are opulent and perhaps very rich, big-minded and ambitious, and they generally do not die a happy death; moreover, lovers of hunting, connoisseurs and owners of horses and quadrupeds. Midheaven conjunct Regulus: Military honor and preferment. Honor, preferment, good fortune, high office under Government, military success. If with Sun, Moon or Jupiter, great honor and ample fortune. [1]

Positioned on the Meridian, Regulus will raise the native to high positions in life, positions far exceeding the environment the native was born into. According to tradition, this configuration will bring with it connections with rulers, honorable people or famous people if the cosmogram as a whole points to this possibility. An old saying goes that Regulus in the tenth house “makes astrologers to kings, people in high positions and noble men.” Regulus culminating is not only a good omen for a military career, but also for careers connected with the public, such as lawyers, civil servants, bankers and the clergy, especially if Regulus is also conjunct one of the lights (Sun or Moon) or with a benefic stellar body. [2]

Moon conjunct Regulus: Occult interests, powerful friends, danger from enemies and false friends, gain by speculation, public prominence, great power, honor, wealth, benefits seldom last, violence, trouble and sickness. It makes women high-spirited and independent. If at the same time, the Sun is with the Dragon’s Head in Gemini, or Jupiter is in the 10th house in trine to Mars and the Sun is with the Dragon’s Head, great preferment even from the lowest sphere to high rank. [1]

The native can gain great public acceptance but must work to keep it; these natives can gain friends in important places; gain by speculation, receive honors, wealth and authority. The native will be high-spirited and independent. Positively aspected natives may expect lasting fame or lasting public acceptance. Negatively aspected natives have much of the same attributes but must also work to keep any gains they made; they may also gain friends in important places and may also receive honors and gain wealth. These natives will be subject to danger from friends or enemies or friends who turn out to be false friends. They are subject to violence, accidents, and chronic, difficult-to-diagnose or possibly serious illness. These natives are continually ‘striving,’ but they can go so high and no higher. Some of these natives may become famous as ‘promoters,’ ‘operators,’ or simply good salesmen. A mental restlessness exists. [6]

0°30′ orb: This is one who takes command and gives orders. These persons work well in the military and can achieve high goals and honors here. The commanding personality extends even to their love life, since everyone is merely a stepping stone for their pleasures and ego. [3]

When Mars or Saturn is in conjunction with Regulus, especially exciting events are always recorded, e.g., assassinations, coup d’états, revolutions, revolts, demonstrations, the overthrow of heads of state and similar events. [2]

Sun conjunct Mars conjunct Regulus (0°30′ orb): This does create quite a problem. These natives are like pompous kings strutting around and showing their importance. They are always in a position of authority, and they demand total recognition for their achievements and abilities. They like to catch others off guard and show off their superiority. They do not know what the word “humble” means. Their drive and needs are extreme and overpowering. They strive to go to the very top in the military. These individuals are simply out of touch with everything except for the acknowledgment of their authority. The Sun and Mars in conjunction here does affect the health. These persons have too much energy pumping through the heart, and later on in life when they no longer have the vitality to feed this, the heart loses some of its elasticity and strength at which time a critical point is reached. Only a few make it past sixty years of age. They could increase their lifespan if they learn to be humble, but they would have to start early in life. [3]

Jupiter conjunct Regulus: Fame, high preferment, especially of a military nature, success in the Church. [1]

Native is subject to fame, high preferment, especially in the military or government; however, greatness and power will suffer an eclipse. A general lack of self-control not readily apparent could evidence itself by bottled emotions. [6]

Jupiter conjunct Regulus is one of the best configurations for success. People like this can reach high positions, positions of trust, preferment, favor and fortune. Riches and power can easily come to these natives. [2]

Ray Bradbury 0°20′, Bill Maher 0°28′ (and Pluto), Bill Gates 1°26′ (and Pluto), Keith Richards 2°00′.

Saturn conjunct Regulus: Just, friends among the clergy, success in Church or law, scholarly, wealth, gain through speculation, companies and friends, high position, proud of home and family, good health, heart trouble at end of life. If angular and especially if rising or culminating, public honor and credit. If Mars be with the Pleiades, violent death in a tumult. [1]

When Mars or Saturn is in conjunction with Regulus, especially exciting events are always recorded, e.g., assassinations, coup d’états, revolutions, revolts, demonstrations, the overthrow of heads of state and similar events. [2]

Billy Joel 0°14′, Alan Leo 0°17′ (and AC), Volodymyr Zelenskyy 0°43′, Emmanuel Macron 0°55′

Uranus conjunct Regulus: Energetic, ambitious, successful, may be unjust or dishonorable, self-aggrandizement, high official position, panders to aristocracy, associated with religion for business purposes, gain through speculation and companies, favorable for marriage, sorrow through death of daughter and disappointment through a son; friends become enemies at end of life, may retire and live in seclusion, violent death through accident or assassination. [1]

These persons strive to be leaders and almost make it to the top of their objective. They like to be in government positions in order to control masses of people. Support comes their way on the road to success, but just when they begin to feel the glory of success, someone causes their downfall. Something always happens so that they lose the confidence of their superiors, or the public will lose confidence in the individual. This happens abruptly and with surprise, and of course, affects the ego tremendously. [3]

The list below investigates “sorrow through death of daughter.” This has been the case historically but not in modern times. The historic deaths were from illnesses that have now been eradicated or are treatable:

  1. Jamie ~

Certainly, tight orbs are in order for the interpretation of stars with other planets. It’s also traditional to only consider a stars’ “light” via conjunction (or maybe opposition) with another planet. Do you consider a stars’ aspects beyond conjunctions/oppositions ?

Regulus interests me because I have so many close-ones and astrological consorts with Leo rising, therefore Regulus in their 1st house. With Regulus very near (but not exact on) my MC, I deign I am meant to meet in board-rooms to promote and negotiate tacticals with the Regulan 1st housers for obvious reasons. Some of us easily come to terms regarding shared objectives; some of us must ultimately agree to disagree, but do so with mutual respect.

I have difficulty discerning whether it’s the Leo rising, or the combination with Regulus in the first that attracts me to this ken. In all cases, I respect a similar clarity of intention and devotion amongst them all, which they don’t necessarily recognize in themselves. They attract the good will of others, by offering it of themselves in a most matter-of-fact manner. Unlike a Leo Sun or MC, these “Regulans” are most unconscious of the aura of self-dignity they project.

My son has Regulus 1st house at a yod apex from Saturn 8th sextile Uranus 6th. Uranus is also conjunct Neptune. I know you don’t cater to houses, so I’ll keep this thought strictly to the aspects between the points. He’s full of himself. And what he’s most full of is devotion to others as satisfaction for himself. He will bend over backwards and twist himself like Gumby into a pretzel if necessary (Saturn) to negotiate a peaceable solution (Regulus) to a human problem (Uranus-Neptune). He is chiefly able to accomplish these harmonies with no damage to himself, and in all humility was recently honored by his high school graduating class as the “Glue-stick”.

He can not bare to be embarrassed, and won’t tolerate any act that embarrasses another. I have seen his indignance in action; have replaced the broken door and the slammed lap-top when his sense of “right” was wronged. I failed to note a transit to Regulus at those times, but wasn’t looking for it then. What I noted was transits to his Uranus-Neptune position, not realizing Regulus was involved in a yod therefrom.

He wears a blanket draped around himself in the house between public appearances. He’s done so since he was 4 years old. No pajamas, merely a simple robe.

    My Regulan Son.

    • I generally only use conjunctions, but it’s worth taking note of your transits for other aspects. Say transiting Pluto was trine your Sun, then I would take into consideration the fixed star which transiting Pluto is currently on. It will add it’s flavor to the transit.

It’s normal for your boy to be a bit hot headed. Regulus peeps need to feel strong and confident in order to function properly. Any ridicule or disloyalty hurts bad and they can lash out.

Though transiting Neptune opposite Regulus a year or so ago did seem to tame this adrenalin pumped ego down a bit, weakened it actually. Us Regulus ego maniacs now have to work on channelling the primal energy into a more spiritual form.

  2. Hi, I´ve got Regulus con my mercurius in teh 3 rd house sextile Jupiter to the 5 t house?

  3. Jamie conspicuous by his absence – Pluto!
yes I have Pluto at this degree … feels heavy .. volatile ,,, and Mars sun .
    Gawd I hope I don’t implode !! lol
    Maggie

  4. I have it conjunct sun opposing asc and my love life has been a series of assasinations, coup d’etats, revolts and revolutions… then add to it a serious mutiny on the high seas with the neptune opposition a couple of years ago…. does anyone feel sorry for me?

oh well i may have a book in me…at least i havent been bored!

on the asc is it the antithesis of wealth?

  5. I have Regulus (29°15) conjunct Pluto (Virgo 2°11’45”), opposite Chiron (27°15), and sextile my Sun. But Venus ( Leo 22°32′), which is further away from Regulus seems to have more of an effect, without the violence, though. Would there be a reason for that? The opposition from Chiron maybe?

    • Mine, conjs. Regulus as well, both being on 2nd H. And opposes my natal Lillith on the 8th H. Not a very funny ride, for sure!

Have difficulties to interpret now a days. Have been clinging to oracles and I just obey (or try: look, they told me that we are very near from the times where metabolisms are going to be quickened… and there i go to the movies, where I find some solace and some evasión -like an addiction- when things go rough with so many things to accomplish. And I eat the big package of pop corn, diet coke and a chocolate, like mad! hihihi!).

So, obeying the best I can, with many things to do and doing the best, which does not reach my Virgo standards, I try to love myself and find the time to accept me… 🙂

      Regards!

      R.

  6. Hi… Why is there no explanation of IC conjunct Regulus? Is it insignificant? Or is it along the lines of the MC conj. Reg effect but in the “home” arena? This might be a silly guess, sorry, but really curious as my IC is 29 Leo, so pretty much exact conjunct Reg… any thoughts on that one? THANK YOU!!!

    • Helena,

Am doing a reading for a young woman who has Regulus exactly conjunct her Lilith in the 10th House. Am not sure if she’s going to become the reigning queen of what she does for a living – she’s young but successful and entrepeneurial – or something more sinister with this conjunction. The orb is quite tight. At any rate, as an astrologer, and someone who has the same aspect with Mars conj. Regulus on the IC between Pluto at 6 degrees Virgo – I’m quite the ruler of my surroundings, especially the home. I can be as extreme as a despot. My way or the highway. My family resents me to no end for this quality – but I’m always right and it’s always for the best in the long run. LOL. How militaristic did that sound?

Am sure Mars and Pluto color the way I manifest that star’s power. But it is one of the most powerful luminaries out there and it boasts of fame and fortune by virtue of militaristic honors – for it’s energy is that of Jupiter and Mars combined. Perhaps the other comments can illuminate you more. But if I’m reading it – any star – especially one so powerful (Robson gives it a 5 degree orb!!!!) – conjunct such an important point like the IC, would mean you’re your own royal Queen, especially behind closed doors. I think we seem to take our IC out on ourselves, but in private.

It’s not like the Ascendant, out front and in public for all to see. Nor the Descendant through others, especially significant others. Or the MH, through the public in the biggest way.

A great website you may want to check-out is http://www.darkstarastrology.com. Marina is the writer and a young astrologer, although she really knows her way around the stars. You can also start a conversation there (it’s out of London) where I believe the blogger’s are students or experienced astrologers which may have a better take than me.

Also, if you google the older astrologers, like Vivian Robson, you could get great interps on all of the stars. The only thing we all need to consider is that Regulus moved from the constellation Leo to Virgo, quite recently.

I’m not so sure it has the same star quality it did in Leo. But am a novice in comparison to the aforementioned people. Am learning about fixed stars late in my career, since nobody ever covered them in my astrology classes in New York in the late 1990’s.

Feel free to email me if you need guidance to other stellar blogs that I have huge respect for. But Marina at Darkstar is the Queen of Fixed Stars today. Best of luck!!! 🙂

      George
      gcuri@georgecuri.com

      • Thanks George! Ha. Speaking of Lilith, mine is conjunct my DC…. another one to seek explanation for, I guess – as I’m still not seeing how that one’s playing out…Anyhow, about the Reg-IC, somehow I feel that everything militaristic and super powerful you mention about your IC situation has to do with your Mars and Pluto, not necessarily IC on Regulus – as you said yourself. I have none of those power planets around it…although my Sun is there actually, on 24 Leo. Hmmm. Don’t know if that’s too far but according to V. Robson you mention – it’s still influencing me…and frankly not sure how that makes me feel given Jamie’s write up above (some benefits but really violence, trouble, ultimate disgrace, ruin, sickness, fevers….OUCH!)
Not sure that I understand if Reg moving to Virgo has any effect on my natal IC on the 29degLeo…? I thought it didn’t. And yes, Marina…I do read her quite regularly.
Thanks again for your input. I might email you as well!

  7. That’s interesting Helena. So you’re saying Regulus on your IC has manifested in a big (Jupiter) way with aggression (Mars)? Without looking at your chart as a whole, it’s a bit tough to decipher. But everyone underestimates the kinetic power of Mars. Yes, the other planets are significant, but without the Martian touch, they seem less explosive. Even evil Pluto right now drags on and on forever. There’s nothing like an appearance by Mars to give him a good punch in the jaw. Am a cancer D2 and have begged Jamie to illuminate me about this Pluto opp my decan more and more, but his cool silence answers my question about the torture I’ve endured and will endure til 2018. Life stopped for me in 2012. No joke. Pluto wiped out EVERYTHING- including an accident to my actor/model face. Now, can I get my life back or do I transform into a phantom of the opera existence? It’s a living death because being social is like oxygen to me. Am just not confident anymore. Back to you, Lilith has always spooked me. Remember her legend, as Adam’s first wife who bolted on him. I’ve seen planets on the descendant play out like this: either you’re meeting your share of darkly attractive, but super manipulative women who convince you to do things that go against your grain. Or because of the opposition to the ascendant, there’s a side of you – the darker side we all have – that you project onto other people, then feel guilty about it later. Lilith is the ultimate seductress, but her selfishness is her undoing. Funny, that would square your Regulus, so if Lilith is conjunction your descendant from the sixth house, it will manifest through health. From the seventh, through partners. Oh, and yes, Regulus progressed to Virgo moves the show forward. Am not sure anyone’s covered it yet, but a Leo progressed to Virgo is like the comic hero Superman turning into Clark Kent. Same powers, but the bravado is much more calculated. Like an undercover spy. It’s still conjunct your 29 degree Leo IC, but what do you have in early Virgo? That will be ignited. Please feel free to email me, but we should pressure Jamie to do a fixed star course and sell it on MP3. Especially because these incredibly potent power mongers are progressing since last recorded in 1925. Progressions change the color of the original sign. So yes, yes, yes it makes a difference. My email is gcuri@georgecuri.com. Today, unfortunately, is my Solar Return, with a full Capricorn Moon conjunct this ice cold Pluto. The Moon is in it’s detriment in Cap. I can only turn to Mars for help. It just entered Cancer. But it will mean war on my part to earn what I need. It’s just after the Pluto opp Sun and Uranus square Sun, my fighting days are numbered. It was a cosmic rape. That bad. Hopefully, the promise of transformation of Scorpionic Pluto will come true. And I’ll resurrect from what it wiped out. Lol. Thank God I have a sense of humor about it. But, had I known in advance this would be so brutal, I would have definitely built a safety shelter. Like a nuclear bomb one. Ugh. 🙂

  8. Dear Jamie, thanks for this exciting article. My Jupiter is at 29.59″ Leo and my regulus at 29.58″ (!!!) conjunct in my natal chart in 9th house. I still didn’t catch what exactly really means, I suppose I’m predestined for spiritual success?

    • Dear Jamie, I forget to add that Regulus is in the beginning of my XI th house, Saturn in Vth.
Will appreciate your kind comment on that matter.

      • Only conjunctions to fixed stars count. Unless a planet is conjunct Regulus and opposite your Saturn. The the influence of Regulus will affect the transit. I don’t use houses and only the cardinal cusps, ie AC, MC etc.

  9. Thank you very much for this comment :).
I see that Fomalhaut is in conjunction to my Saturn in Pisces. Is it wrong aspect?

  10. Wow, I have Jupiter and Mars conjunct Regulus.Still have not had the game and fortune though…

    • Mars is the ruler of my Aries Sun and Jupiter the ruler of Sagittarius moon.and both Mars and Jupiter are trine my moon

  11. Hi Jamie – thanks for that – what about Pluto conjunct Regulus natally?

    • I know a few of your generation with this conjunction. From what I can see, it makes activists in relation to human rights and suspicion about what big government and corporation are hiding, conspiracy theories. Am I on the right track or not?

  12. I have ASC&Mars conjunct Regulus nataly but also Pluto in the 2ndH. Im strugging financle and have been for awhile. But im grateful im healthy with tons of energy !and a good daughter.

  13. Oh, wow. My Dad’s Pluto and his ASC are both conjunct Regulus. He may not have a fortune nor is he famous, but he did become his union’s steward for about two years when I was in my late teens. I remember watching him put blood, sweat and tears into negotiating a new contract for his union members, putting everything he had into getting these guys the best (better pay, 401k, pensions, insurance, lower union dues). Once the contract was approved and his union brothers got what they wanted, his union brothers turned on him and eventually got him fired. Yet, instead of getting angry or vengeful, he just put a smile on his face and said “forgive everyone everything”.

He’s also into politics and volunteering big time. He has campaigned for John Dingell over 20 times, Bill Clinton twice, Al Gore once, John Kerry once, Barack Obama twice and I converted him into supporting Bernie Sanders. He doesn’t do conspiracy theories, and he won’t run for public office–even though I believe he’s got the intelligence and gumption to do so.

  14. Thanks for this great info! I haven’t found anything else about Regulus online and just discovered that I have it conjunct both my Midheaven and my True Node. Any thoughts on the latter? Would that simply compound and intensify the MC conjunct?

    • I think it would make it a sure thing about reaching your potential and achieving your calling or mission in life. Generally you combine the influence of the Sun and the Moon for interpreting the Lunar Nodes.

      • My sun is 29 Leo conjunct Pluto & Regulus. I am a VERY determined woman. Very peaceful & kindhearted until angered then look out. I will wait forty years if necessary for revenge! Much rather sooner than later as wasn’t born with patience.

  15. Would you say that 2º distance between Regulus and the Natal Moon is a conjunction? I realise that some claim 3-5º is sufficient orb for planets, but in the case of a fixed star, I believe the requirement is stricter. Please tell us your view.

    • Yes it is stricter. Written above each fixed star article is the suggested orb. For Regulus this 2*30′.

  16. any thoughts on Regulus conjunct IC? my Sun is also 24 deg Leo but assume that’s a bit far… IC however exact on 29… THANK YOU!!!

    • Hi Helena, yes your Sun will be influenced by the other stars back on that degree. IC is you past, genetic memory, ancestors. Perhaps a royal ancestry or at least some war heroes?

      • Haha lucky me 😉 Thank you Jamie! If only those would be honored in this lifetime, eh. Off to see what other stars we have on my degree…

  17. Note: With the upcoming eclipse in August on Regulus I took notice and riffled through some of my collection of charts and found Bernie Madoff like Trump has Regulus on his ascendant, Pluto is conjunct Bernie’s ascendant and square Algol in the Midheaven, I think Regulas rising not only imparts leadership quality but charisma, Regulas as a Leonine personality indicates a person who wants to be noticed or considered special and or important or popular. Leo just has to be in charge even if what they have to offer is a con, I have found Leo’s to be more concerned with their own needs and practically deaf to others needs. I don’t know what will happen to these two but Bernie has his sun in Taurus square Uranus which offers imprisonment. Donald might squeak by unharmed for now with all his high priced lawyers and Republican toadies. Fate or what? I think the Trump will go down.

    • As Leo’s are particularly attracted to me.I’m very in tune with their energy ( its one of the signs I guess correct with some regularity.
I will add this though.Leo’s in general are not wallflowers for sure , but as they are ruled by the SUN ( in capital letters of course. ) they wear their egos better than the other signs ! ( remember it’s very important for them to be popular.)
As a rule they don’t hold grudges and make loyal friends ., and their so much fun to be around !!!

    • Trump has asc. at 29 Leo , mars at 26 Leo.Mueller has Venus 25 Leo.Jupiter 2 degrees Virgo.
Most of trumps 1st house is filled with Virgo which is square his planets in Gemini so there’s tension there regarding communication.Virgos are very candid and can be critical. ( grouchy also. ) both Gemini and Virgos are ruled by mercury and like to talk.Geminis more superficialy ; so that may be part of the reason he can’t always get his facts straight. With his Sun , Uranus conjunct his n.node in gemini this would make him very mercurial , and add to the superficiality. This placement also has to do with his fame.
According to the afformentiond material on the different planets conjuncting Regalus. In composite with Muellers planets there. There does seem to be potential for some disgrace. However ; there seems to be a lot of compatability ; no doubt Mueller ( coming from a military background ) likes the respect Trump has for the military. It seems some of the negative press about regulus can be offset if its not about the ego ie .( Bill gates has his Jupiter there also and gives back towards philopanthric causes.) When it’s totally self centered it seems to receive the worst results. : ) I hope Donald reads this.

    • I know one felioness with this placement , also has other planets plus her Sun.I suspect she has a shy asc. because she is not particularly overt with her personality.
She is self made and has risen to some prominance in her field. She isn’t what I’d call popular in the sense you might think Leo would project , but she is well liked by everyone I know.I’ve never heard a single bad word said about her , she often gives the benefit of the doubt with some people that I wouldn’t on my best day.
Any other planets with this node ? I would expect some rise to prominance in some way.I would look at the house it falls in and apply your n.node to it.Also with the nodes when there is a synestry involved , generally I consider n.node contacts as good.S. node I call falling back into the bucket .There’s a familiar feeling there , but the n.node seems to be the direction u want to pursue in this incarnation.I would use the s.node more for referance.Synestry contacts with others planets conjuncting your n.node or transiting planets would trigger your energy. For example : Someone’s Sun would probably be helpful making contact with it.Conjuncting Regalus I would imagine you run into a lot of Leo’s.I hope this helps ! Looks pretty good to me ). ♍👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

  18. I have an interesting situation developing with my niece, Grace. I am living with my parents, Grace’s grandparents. Grace, her two sisters and her mother (my sister) came to visit for Thanksgiving (November 23rd). I do not get along well with Grace’s mother. This was the first time I have seen my sister in about 30 years, the first time I have talked with her in more than 20 years. Grace is 15. Last year, Grace took a plane, by herself, to come meet me for the first time. Her parents are divorced. I assumed that Grace knew that the reason for the divorce was because my sister discovered that her husband was gay and had been actively gay for their entire relationship. I asked Grace how she felt about this. Grace didn’t know. Her father is still in the closet. Grace said she would be very surprised if it was true. So, now she knows. A year has gone by. Grace still hasn’t said anything to her sisters. She and I found an opportunity to spend some time alone together his past weekend, talking. We had a good long talk. I like Grace.

Today, I had a look at our Davidson’s relationship chart. Grace and I have Jupiter at 0Vir39 conjunct Regulus, which is now in Virgo, at 0Vir5. Our Jupiter is conjunct Mars 2Vir43 and the Midheaven 3Vir5.

This is a big deal Jupiter thing because my sister is a “good Christian,” like her “good Christian” ex-husband. I am a very spiritually-oriented person who has been branded by my sister as a terrible, bad person. All my mail to Grace has been opened by my sister and censored before it is decided whether or not Grace is allowed to see it. I like to communicate by snail mail because I’m not very handy with the computer and I like to communicate with visual pictures.

I have Vesta at 23Can13 in a tight square to my nodes. Grace has Waldemath (Dark Moon Lilith, the lunar apogee, when the Moon is furthest from the earth) at 23Can05. So, Grace is triggering my skipped step.

My Pluto is at 2Vir40 conjunct our Davidson’s Mars at 2Vir43. In fact, I have a Pluto-Pallas-Mercury-Venus stellium between 2 – 6 degrees Virgo all conjunct the Regulus-Jupiter-Mars-Midheaven in our Davidson’s chart.

Matthew 17:21…”Howbeit this kind comes not out but by prayer and fasting.”

Okay. It’s time for me to stop eating.

    • I might mention one additional thing. I am not my mother’s daughter. She gestated me and gave birth to me, but I have none of her genes. My sister has my mother’s genes. I have my father’s genes combined with extraterrestrial Nordic genes.

      • My natal asteroid Child (4580) is at 29Leo02 conjunct my natal Regulus 29Leo15. It’s my inner child who has empathy for my neice. I really have no idea how I can help, but trust my intuition to guide me.

        • “Is ascension—a graduation into a higher level of existence—your ultimate goal for being human? And are there negative forces in the universe that feed on your fear, anger, guilt, and shame and will stop at nothing to prevent you from achieving this quantum leap in your evolution? Are we witnessing a tremendous competition over who gets to control our planet?” — David Wilcock

Emotion. It all comes down to emotion.

          • I just noticed that asteroid Atlantis (1198) is now at 8Lib07 square my natal Ascendant at 8Can15. I am wondering what that means…

“There seem to be two sides to the Atlantis issue. One is spiritual, regarding our relationship to God or the cosmos. The other is technological, regarding our relationship to Big Science and ordinary technology. The two issues are, at times, closely bonded; for us they both address the question of existence or threatened existence or more often, the threat of nonexistence. Either God will create the Rapture, or one of our Big Science machines will run out of control. If we worship technology and turn it into God, we’ll surely have problems. Or we may intentionally use technology as a means of either discovering God (the Large Hadron Collider) or thinking we are God (the nuclear bomb, which Americans and only Americans have used on civilians).
When you take these themes and wrap them in the issue of whether any of this is going to be our downfall, that is the essence of Atlantis. It has an asteroid, number 1198, so the way you would write that is (1198) Atlantis. My keywords for this point are the use and abuse of technology, but this can be on any scale you like, and the results of that use are included. (1198) Atlantis also hints at our anxiety around the fall of our own civilization.”. –Eric Francis

            • The past several days I have sent quite a few messages to my sister, my nieces and my ex-brother-in-law’s mother. Today I am putting together a package for my ex-brother-in-law. This will complete my efforts to help my nieces. I am expecting the package to arrive on the 11th of December so I have looked up my ex-brother-in-law’s chart and noted the transits.

Transiting South Node 16Aqu53 will be conjunct his natal Pholus 16Aqu34. Pholus means that the lid comes off a situation and things are never the same again.

Transiting Saturn 28Sag55 will be conjunct transiting Pholus 28Sag24 and sextile Bill’s natal Saturn 28Aqu52 while squaring his natal Waldemath 28Vir23. So it’s time for him to make an adjustment in his responsibility towards the truth and his deepest, darkest feelings.

Transiting Orcus 10Vir10 will be conjunct his natal Mars 10Vir16. He’ll have to ask himself what he truly wants in life. What promises did he make when he incarnated?

Transiting Galactic Center will be at 27Sag06 conjunct his natal Pallas 27Sag12. He has the wisdom to know what to do.

Transiting Waldemath 18Ari04 will be inconjunct his natal Neptune 18Sco11. Thank God for forgiveness.

      • I would like to make a correction. On December 3rd (December 4, Jamie’s time), I posted a comment about the transits to my ex-brother-in-law’s chart on the day of the expected arrival of a package I was putting together for him. This turns out to have been an error. I made a mistake in setting up his chart. I got his birth year wrong. He was actually born a few months before my sister, in the year prior to hers. When I set up the chart, I gave him the same birth year as my sister. Even though that particular data turns out to have been an error, I have no doubt that my ex-brother-in-law has been profoundly affected by the things I have sent him.

    • In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat. But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. John 4:31-34

    • My niece, Grace, has Waldemath in Cancer conjunct my Vesta and square my nodes. In our Davidson’s chart, she and I have Jupiter at 0 Virgo, conjunct Regulus. I would like to mention an important way this energy has played out between us.

When she first flew to Nashville to meet me, Grace brought one of her pet hedgehogs along with her. He was just the cutiest little critter and a fun conversation starter. Many years ago, though, I was profoundly influenced by an animal rights activist. Since that time, I have vowed never again to keep an animal as a pet in a cage. So my heart could not help sinking a bit to notice the cage this animal spent most of its time in.

When I saw her this year, Grace showed me pictures of her new pets. In addition to her hedgehogs, she now has flying squirrels. These, also, are adorable little creatures. Grace is deeply bonded with her pets. Her little squirrels are so closely bonded with her that they do not need a leach when she goes outside with them. They don’t stray far from her and always come running back. Grace has been breeding and selling hedgehogs for a while now. She has begun doing the same with her squirrels. She says she would like to make a career as a breeder and domesticator of exotic pets. Her heart is in this work because of her emotional needs, because of what she gets emotionally from her pets.

I understand why Grace has an emotional void that she seeks to fill with her pets. I know her family background. My heart goes out to her. As much as I have not wanted to hurt her feelings, I have felt called upon to point out to Grace, as carefully as I could, that domesticating and caging animals to serve our own emotional needs is not a loving thing to do. It is exploitation.

Maybe someday she can work in an animal sanctuary. She truly is very attentive in caring for her pets. I just want her to be aware of how she is using emotional energy. So that’s my Vesta in Cancer having a conversation with her Waldemath, with Regulus watching over us.

    • wow, not genetically your mothers genes but extraterrestrial, this is crazy, you must be a heavy load to your environment.
Go and occupie yourself with relevant things and cure your soul somehow, your are not 50% extraterrestrial

  19. What about August 22, 1987…why do I have so many Grand Trines pointing to Regulus with what looks to be Venus, the Sun, Mars, and Mercury all conjunct? Jupiter, Neptune, and Uranus all trine there, the only inner planet that isn’t conjunct is the Moon and that is in a trine with Saturn. Anyways, I just started to understand this and I have no idea what to think about that. Thanks in advanced, Xander

  20. What about north node conjunct Regulus?

  21. Hi Jamie, Doesn’t the meanings for the star, Regulus, change now that he is in the sign of Virgo ? Thanks! – Christopher

    • I have ceres conjunct venus and Neptune in 6th , 29 , 25. And 24 degrees in that order..Pluto in the 5th exact sextile Pluto 25 degrees leo.
I have been fortunate profiteering from my pastimes.( 5th house.) Sun and mercury also there.it also conjuncts my moon in Scorpio.
Ceres has been described as a type of ‘horn of plenty ‘ I think I’ve read.
I’ve only been studying some of the asteroids recently.During its last transit over this stellium I had a significant increase in income. Its somewhat dominant in my chart as venus is also my ruler.I’m watching it more carefully now. ; ( for obvious reasons.)
I don’t know if this helps , but its in your 2nd house of finances conjunct regulus. In and of itself I would interpret that as being somewhat auspicious. You may also have grandiose tastes in your material possessions and enjoy quantities of them. These r just my thoughts without knowing anything else about your other planetary positions.Have a good day !♍👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟p.s. I would take special note when it transits your natal ceres / Regalus next time !

    • Hi Jerry. Opposition sdo not really apply to fixed stars. However, you will probably feel the effects of Regulus when a planet is in opposition to your Saturn. For example, 18 August 2019 Mars is conjunct Regulus. That will influence your Mars opposite Saturn transit.

  22. Hi Jamie — You mentioned above significance of Regulus conjunct IC, but stated no specific meaning. Could you elaborate please? (I’m conjunct 1 degree) Thx!

  23. Regulus was named the Lion during the Patriarch’s (Sun Cult) rulership. This has finally completed and come to its end, as Regulus bestowed all its Royalty and Powers to the feminine: Regulus in Virgo.

  24. the Athenian playwright Aristophanes. In his play The Frogs, Aristophanes compares the degradation of great politicians to the introduction of bad coinage:

I’ll tell you what I think about the way
This city treats her soundest men today:

By coincidence more sad than funny,
It’s very like the way we treat our money.

The noble silver drachma, which of old
We were so proud of, and the one of gold

    Coins that rang so true
Throughout the world have ceased to circulate.

Instead the purses of Athenian shoppers
Are full of phoney silver-plated coppers.

Just so, when men are needed by the nation,
The best have withdrawn from circulation.

    https://fs.blog/2009/12/mental-model-greshams-law/

Jamie, the withdrawl of the good, replaced by the bad, is an old theme in our world. A world that grows in population concurrently, over many decades and centuries, matched by systemic depreciation of Whats in Circulation. Could the astrology for this not be The Precession of the Equinox through Pisces, combined with the transit of Leo over Star Regulus? Ive wondered about this since the Mayan calender correlation, and of course, astrology is new to me too, since the 2010 Grand Cardinal Cross, which came into me in a Fish processing plant, of all places.

    • Hi starsseed! Maybe a kind of ‘ Dark ‘ Royalty,. I’m thinking ? Someone that might have had a tougher row to hoe to get to the top. ?
For some reason The’ Prince and the Pauper ‘popped into my head , where the paupers impoverished life got accidentally swapped out for one of privilege of ‘ royal’ birth’ (as a possible metaphor.)
It seems that S.node Regulus would be more like a ‘ king of the gypsies ‘ ( meant in a good way. ) kind of popularity rather than a mainstream .’ national ‘ type of popularity.I would recommend Celeste Teals book on : The Nodes ‘ and study S.Node contacts in the charts of famous people to get a feel for how it works. It doesn’t use fixed stars or asteroids ( except for Chiron. ) , but you can plug in the ‘ regulus ‘ symbolism and see if fits for you.I haven’t looked at his chart , and I know little about him , so don’t take what I said as gospel. That’s just what comes to my mind with ‘ that ‘contact.I hope that helps ! Have a good day ! ♍

  25. How would Regulus conjunct Chiron fare in the natal chart? I have this in the 8th house.

    • Hi Carolne. ; Could refer to something sexual ; I would look at the house.meaning 1st .
From what I’ve seen there is always some kind of a ‘ wounding ‘ regarding the house activities in some way. For example : I haven’t found anyone so far that has a 4th house Chiron that didn’t suffer in the area of nurturing. ( often the mother is involved. )
I’m not sure how the Regulus fits in. ; but it is linked to ‘royalty ‘.Add these qualities together , and see if you can find something that fits. 😄

      • Regulus in now in Virgo. The 8th Is the natural House of Virgo in the Age of Aquarius. So look for more cosmic clues that deal with regeneration and how that fits with your chart.

    • The thing to watch out for with Regulus is vengefulness. The star only “moved” into Virgo in 2011.
Chiron can mean wounding or healing – and don’t forget self-sacrifice either!
Apart from sex, the 8th house is traditionally about death, taxes and other people’s money.
      Hope this helps?

  26. WOW! This has got my heart pumping alright! Sheesh! I have 29′ Regulus conjunct 27′ leo Mars, 9 degrees away from my 6′ Virgo Sun (3rd house) and I have no problems being humble and of service, I think my family and friends would laugh their heads off at that description, but it’s interesting because I do have internalised ‘rages’ and in meditation and healing sessions I see and feel myself as an incredibly strong ‘knight’ or warrior (I’m female). it’s so powerful that the ‘therapist’ usually feels and sees it too. I also have a blood disorder (genetic) so that applies, I often feel very weak because of it – could be the square from Neptune in the 6th house. I suppose all the other factors in my chart mitigate some of those nasty pompous attributes? I think I may live longer than 60 since all my relatives (mainly the females) live into their 90’s (well one can only hope!). Thanks for the food for thought, interesting.

    • Hi Char. Cool story. Regulus eh?
Ok, fwiw, ever since researching comet McNaught, Jan 12, 2007, I’m curious about Rotation in earth hours, and AU at Perihelion. Borisov is expected about 2 AU, and nothing in the story regarding rotation time, but they know current velocity and expected maximum velocity. IOW, since Borisov is transiting Regulus today, I’m into the specifications and sharing the McNaught info.

      McNaught:
      Perihelion: 0.17 AU
      Rotation time: 21 hours

      • CI (Borisov) is expected to cross the ecliptic and conjunct Regulus on October 24. Perhaps even making an occultation, which would be very cool, if an image can be captured.

        • The Libra ingress, Fall equinox chart, progressed to Oct 24, and the alignment of Regulus and Comet CI Borisov, shows the Moon and Sun in sextile. There is considerable activation in people when the Comet reaches and crosses the ecliptic… and the gathering of souls. Comet CI Borisov semi-squares the ingress charts’ North Node, Moon, Mercury and Apollo, and Sesquisquares Saturn. My Dads going to command that thing.

            • On Aug 29 it was announced by MIT that comet/asteroid Gault 6478 tail had changed colour, red to blue. At virtually the same time Borisov discovered the first incoming interstellar comet, CI Borisov.

We keep an eye on Mercury, and note the Inferior conj Eclipse, Nov 11
And that the NewAge chart I use has Mercury Rx in Aquarius, 1st house..

We are being primed for a first contact moment, soon, 6-7 months.

“I observed it on August 29, but it was August 30 Greenwich Time.[Note 7]” wiki

This got lost in translation. What I’m seeing is Gennadiy discovering the interstellar object just above the horizon in Cancer Constellation, it was 29 Aug in London, and Just before 3:00 am. 2:58 am places the Moon at 00Virgo00, which would justify why he even mentions 29 Aug UTC.

  28. Good info! I have Uranus conjunct Regulus both at 29 degrees Leo and am Leo sun at 12 degrees. I was born to a career Army Dad & I had a short stint in the US Navy Reserve during Desert Storm. I now have a metaphysical & divinity degree. I can totally see how my friends might become my enemies in the future- I have very different perspectives on ideologies they hold dear and am planning a book on mental health that goes against mainstream thought.
I guess its a good thing I like my own company. 🙂

Astrologyking doesn’t have this aspect, but Robert Hand does, and talks about it in his Planets in Youth (1977).

To summarize, this is a confiscation aspect. Mom comes in and takes your toys away. No problem, you love Mother (the Universe, in this chart), and have a good relationship with her, developing self confidence, standing up for your rights against any obstacle. So display courage and independence, and you trek on; “but this will happen only if you have healthy emotional experiences as a child.” pg 122.

    • When you are 8 or 9, normally this is Grade 3 in elementary school. Toys are very important, and they are getting sophisticated. You identify with many of the characteristics of your doll, and the doll house, or if a boy, sports cards, marbles, and chestnuts, to name a few. There is a world encapsulated in possessions, from which outer structure takes form. Yet, along came authority, and these toys were removed. Loss, frustration and Mars anger… the self is forced to develop without things you gave life.

So, perhaps, not such an easy problem to overcome. John Candy, the comedian, cracked jokes about his hockey cards destroyed, lost, or taken away during this time in his life. Many of us watching this actor perform; pains of joy, sorrow and shared experience. Better have a sense of humour here, or your finished.

  32. would 29 degrees vertex in leo be vertex conjuct regulus? also, is that a good thing?

  33. Regulus moved into Virgo in September of 2011 by the way. I think this is a huge deal for humanity, but I know you don’t put a ton of focus into the Zodiac. I have Jupiter/Mars at 0/2 degrees Virgo (Tropical) respectively, and in September 2011, I decided to transition gender from male to female. I always found this to be a very interesting correlation as the ruling star is now in a feminine sign. Regulus will be conjunct my natal Jupiter in 34 years. I can’t wait to see what happens!

    • Hi Zeronom. I remember that year well because I lost my sex drive and definitely felt less masculine. It was associated with illness as I had colon cancer then. But it also coincided with transiting Neptune opposite my Mars. I also have Mars conjunct Regulus.

So it is worth considering the influence of transiting Neptune opposite natal Mars. I tend to believe the Regulus is still the same. Neptune has more likely dissolved some of our masculinity.

      • Yeah, I had a wild few years from 2011-2013 as Neptune opposed my Jupiter and Mars in Virgo. I was exploring my feminine side that had been repressed and was also being initiated to a visionary world of psychedelic potential. But I’ve since come down to Earth, and in reality I’ve swung back to a balanced gender identity, although I still feel more comfortable presenting female. In many ways I had to fully embrace my inner feminine to regain my masculinity if that makes sense. But I’ve been dealing with gender troubles since I was 13, so it was a necessary volcanic explosion for me. Thanks for running a great site!

  34. Hi Jaime, I too have Rahu conjunct Mars & Jupiter. Rahu/Mars 27 degrees Leo, Jupiter 0 degree Virgo. (Jupiter on Regulus in 2011) I too has a handicapping neck issue and surgery all beginning in 2011. I’m well now (although quite caring of my health), and hopefully you as well. I am curious to learn any wealth, work, inheritance of power/leadership positions you may like to share regarding these natal planet positions in common? Or anything related to those positions you find interesting in your life?

  35. I’m new to fixed stars. I did some research and found that Regulus moved into Virgo on 11/29/2011 and will stay there for over 2,000 years. This is huge so I wondered what this means personally for those with planets in Virgo. I have Sun 1°36, Mercury 3°46, Venus 0°57 and Ascendant 10°54 in Virgo. Having Regulus in a tight conjunction with Sun, Mercury and Venus in the 1st house might mean stepping into my own power in some way. I would guess that anyone having planets in Virgo in any house will be affected by Regulus move into Virgo. For example, in the 4th house it might mean taking more of a lead role in the home and with family, in the 11th being a community leader. This is new and unchartered territory for Virgos since they are so used to serving quietly in the background. It’s also Interesting that this date has 3 elevens in it. I like looking at dates from a numerology perspective.

  37. Hi Cristina – You may be new to fixed stars, but as far as I’m concerned you’ve nailed it with your thoughts on Regulus in Virgo. I had never looked at that question in exactly the same way as you did, before now.
I have asteroid Juno at 0Vir13, which means she’s been conjunct Regulus (though out of sign) since I was born. My significant other has his Sun on Regulus. We have both learned lessons in humility (and service) since 2011, particularly in my case.
Regulus is still in my 9th house, and my sig other still has it in house 6 (the Virgo house – coming home in 2011?)!
I also like looking at dates from the numerology perspective! 11 is strongly represented in all of my life.
Gerald, I see that you have found a few more 11’s (23:22 UTC = 11:22 PM too). I live in unit 22 in a housing complex…
You have both given me much food for thought, and I thank you for that!

Although Jamie doesn’t particularly mention it, Regulus is sometimes considered to be the most royal of the four royal stars or Watchers, even though it is not the brightest of them. I suppose the fact that it’s right on the ecliptic, or perhaps it’s due to Proclus, that this was said. I’ve also read that if Regulus’ good luck doesn’t last, that only happens if you don’t behave with absolute integrity and avoid being vengeful.

So, since 29 November 2011, all four of the Watchers are now in mutable signs.

  38. Char, I see a heavenly screed coming with Regulus. For the first 588 years it’s in the 12 house, before contacting the Ascendant. I didn’t know this until now… Look up the meaning for code 588.

  39. The meaning for code 588 that I like best equates the 5 with freedom, change, evolution, mobility; 8 with power, ambition, balance, realisation (this came from crazy-numbers.com, quite an interesting website).
If you add 588 to 2011, you get the year 2599. Now this is a bit evocative – it’s nearly 2600. I wonder if we’ll still be using our current dating system then??
The symbolism of 8 reminds me of 8th house stuff, Scorpio, Pluto… all strongly represented in my chart.
555 is very often used in movies as a prefix for phone numbers. I wonder why? When I adopted 555 as part of my calling card, I was working on a movie script. I never got very far because I started describing the title sequence, which involved stars and constellations – which became my passion and eclipsed all my other interests and hobbies.
Being on the ecliptic, Regulus is often eclipsed by the Moon…

  40. That’s interesting. I have Ascendant in Virgo 10°54 and Vertex in Aquarius 12°32 on cusp of 6th.

  41. My previous comment was in reference to Gerald’s post about the chart of the Trinity. About the Vertex in my natal chart being in the same sign, house and degree as that chart. Also having my Ascendant in the same sign and close to the same degree as that chart. Interesting.

  42. Hi Char555…Thanks for your kind words. My thoughts came from developing a deeper understanding of astrology and from my intuition.

It’s interesting that you have Regulus in your 9th and your significant other has it in his 6th. Both are numbers of service in numerology. The difference is that the 9’s service is more on a universal level, more about going out into the world and helping humanity. 6’s service stays more within their immediate community. Also, the master numbers, 11 and 22, in numerology play a role in service. They are more of a higher frequency of 2 and 4 and serve in more a spiritual way than a practical way.

I’ve read that too about Regulus’s benefits not lasting unless the person behaves with integrity. I think it’s both a blessing and a curse to have Regulus at such a lucky position in the natal chart. There’s a lot of responsibility that goes along with it and it can be hard to live up to sometimes.

It’s also interesting that you mention that 4 royal stars are now in mutable signs. Astrologers are saying that Jupiter and Saturn’s move into Aquarius will cause people to be more open-minded and flexible, which is also a trait of the mutable signs. Aquarius is also a humanitarian sign, so the theme of service comes up once again. So there’s a big theme of service represented not only in our natal charts, but for everyone in the constantly shifting energy of the planets and stars.

  43. Since I replied to you, Gerald, I found another meaning for your code 588. Unfortunately my aged memory has lost this thought, but I have a feeling you know what it is. Was it in some way connected with a messianic figure? Do tell.

  44. Hi Char,
Looking at the Regulus chart with March 18 transiits

    https://postimg.cc/rRFJp366

    Casual observations…
    – the Neptune involved with Sun and Venus. So be careful of that, like your question.
    – Lunar Node reversal, ie. the truth of this chart meets a subaltern Sedna.
    – there’s Lilith again. Open up the orbs to see it trine with Pluto, a little easier to talk about with Mercury transit Pisces.

  45. Thank you, Gerald.
Surprised about the position of Mars…
Neptune – Sun – Venus. Potential oops.
I see that I’m having a Mars return right now. In 7th house. Rampaging around, still. Involving Lilith – the Virgo ingress Lilith is opposite my natal Lilith. Didn’t know I could be such a BITCH… maybe not even in a good way.
Virgo ingress Sedna quite close to Algol.

  46. Hi Cristina – So sorry it took me such ages to reply to you. Things are fraught with me, just as they are with so very many others right now.
My life, taken as a whole, has been a bit frantic and strange. As I subscribe to the theory that I made quite a detailed sort of plan for myself before coming into incarnation, I don’t even have the comfort of blaming anyone but myself!
Well, a month or two ago I was raging at myself, asking what I was THINKING when I made my current life plan, when I received feed-back!!
This “entity” (??) appeared and told me what was going on.
“You can think of me as a Pleiadian type of energy, or at least like your kind think of Pleiadians, though I am not actually from the Pleiades”, he/she said.
“When you were preparing for your current incarnation, you made a contract with us to experience as many diverse things as possible. We were to be allowed to monitor you and learn about human reactions to many different situations. Your astrological chart can tell you about the many ways in which you agreed to present the information to us, for example prominent Scorpionic features for depth and with Mercury in Virgo for precision and details.”
Well, there you go. I suppose that could be about service too. It all makes sense to me. Your comments have helped, thank you again.

In case you think I’m a delusional nut, that’s your prerogative. It was very difficult for me to post the above. But I thought, what the heck; there are probably many others who’ve had similar experiences and maybe it needed to be said.

I’ve never really thought of Aquarius as open-minded and flexible – or perhaps that’s due to the individual Aquarians that I know. Aqr is a fixed sign, ruled by Saturn originally. I think it needs wild and explosive Uranus to dislodge some of its very fixed ideas! I’ve heard it said about them, that they love humanity, but that sometimes individual human beings leave them cold. – I really enjoy talking to them!

  47. Hi Char,

No need to apologize. You replied when the time was right or sometimes I like to say when the time was “ripe”. Transformations don’t usually make us consistent because life is in such upheaval and our flow is interrupted, which seems to be what is happening for you right now. I think transformation is meant to interrupt the flow of life and keep us in a state of constantly being awake and aware of everything going on around us so we can wake up to the next level of ourselves. Huge growth is happening on a spiritual, mental and emotional level.

Are you a water sign or have a lot of the water element in your natal chart? Water signs are the most connected to their emotions and can feel the spirit world around them, making it easy for them to access it. Even if you have very little or no water in your chart, you have learned to connect with the spirit world and this is why an entity appeared before you.

I have almost no water in my chart, but have connected with deceased loved ones over time. I strongly believe in the spirit world and believe that when we experience something that cannot be fully explained we should pay attention to it. In no way do I think you are a delusional nut! Your experience with the spirit world has helped me to see things in a different way and I’m sure has helped others who found their way to your comment here.

I think your entity showed up to guide you through your transformation. That your transformation is part of your contract and that astrology is part of the details of that contract. That you have free will in how to respond to what is in your contract, using the astrological tools you were given in your natal chart.

Side note about Aquarians: I’ve always been a little confused about the general description of Aquarius. They are known as a fixed sign, but I’ve also seen them described as humanitarian, open-minded, flexible and unconventional. I’ve also heard that they get along great with groups of people, but individual relationships are challenging for them. The Aquarians I’ve known were well-liked and easy to talk to, but I’ve never known any that were unconventional. Maybe they become flexible and open-minded when dealing with larger groups of people, rather than when they are dealing with one-on-one relationships. I think it depends on each individual natal chart.

  48. Karl Jaspers was a bit of an historian, among other credentials. Searching for clues in the cycles of civilizations. He is known for his work on discovering what he called the Axial Age.

From several years ago, the Axial Age chart still resides in my astrology data base: May 8, 577 BCE. An orphan

With this new (to me) information, what if Jaspers 48435 fits into the chart, and actually use it in a rectification?

  50. I totally agree with “Pluto conjunct Regulus: Makes activists in relation to human rights and suspicion about what big government and corporations are hiding” My Pluto is 1 Virgo which has now progressed to 0 Virgo and its conjunct my 28 Leo Midheaven. My Regulus sits at 29 Leo 1 degree from Pluto and 1 degree from Midheaven). This has fated my life as a dream walker since birth to see behind the scenes (veils) and totally be awake in dreaming since birth. Pluto has been my one benefactor in my life (saving me from death many times within my fate / destiny (NN 12th in Scorpio conj jup/neptune) within 4 degrees.

When Regulus shifted into Virgo in 2012 my entire “game” in life shifted to my side as a collective shaman, I took the beatings so to speak up to that point in my life to pay off my karma this lifetime. Regulus also no longer serves the masculine (patriarch) and now their benefactor has changed to the feminine. Virgo has a very powerful and very deep past, and you cannot find that in astrological history nor astronomy history because those are his stories. When you follow the dreamer languages of her (image, art, ancient art, weaving the goddesses together in many culutres), one sees that virgo was the earthly foundation of heaven, or mandate of heaven as the daoist call it but without men’s gifts of power and war. But with heavens power of magic, transformation, death and rebirth.

  54. My progressed MC appears to be at 29’48” Leo, so exactly Regulus. (Natally, I have Uranus at 22 Leo.) What – if anything – would that portend?
(Previously, it was at 29 Cancer – the “millionaires’ degree”. SPOILER: I did not become a millionaire. :D)
BTW, natally, I have two anaretic degrees: the Sun at Pisces 29, and Venus at Aries 29; and my Saturn is at Capricorn 27.
I’ve been called – often worshipped as – “unusual” all my life; but my life certainly has been unusual in that “fate” has somehow deprived me not only of what “should” have been mine, but even of the most common experiences. My love life practically ended at 30. But it’s a long and very complicated story.)

Anyway, I believe the impact of Regulus may be highly overrated. You would expect it to feature prominently in the chart of Napoleon I or Hitler – two examples of blazing ascent to unimaginable power and honours (however short-lived). Or Mussolini’s. Or Stalin’s. Or JFK’s (not just his wife’s). In the charts of all sorts of powerful and/or honoured figures. But very few seem to have it – and even fewer of those seem to be associated with political/military power.

Thank you for any reply, everyone/anyone. 😉

    • Hey 🙂 My love life ended at 30 too. I have Sun conjunct Regulus. Moon conjunct Antares, MC conjunct Fomalhaut, Venus conjunct Sirius, Mars conjunct Spica and Saturn conjunct Alkaid. You’d expect them to do something wouldn’t you? I’ve never managed to earn enough money to be independent and have always struggled to make ends meet. I’m 42, single, poor, isolated, in bad health and seriously questioning any of these so called royal or the behenian fixed stars having any beneficence or power to override a crap chart at all. I reckon I can confirm their maleficence though.

You are still very yong (even if it doesn’t feel that way); I do hope that whatever presents the “planets” forget to leave at your door, they do from now on. 🙂

  59. I have natal Regulus in Leo @29/22 in 7th house trine with Galactic Center in 12th house @26/23 and MC in Libra @28/58. Is this good? What does it mean? It sounds like I will be honored by the military. (I am writing a war book.) I do have it square to my north node in the 5th house of Taurus. That doesn’t sound good. I am worried about transiting Regulus in Virgo in 8th.

  60. Interesting. I always believed I was a Leo born on the 23rd August, but I discovered last few years, with my date in 1964 I was around 8 hours into being virgo. Then I get informed last few months that i have spent time on Regulus as a starseed, and claimed my lion back. But now the lion star has become the virgin, and also the 23 my birthdate is the number for regulus as a royal star. It was conjunct in the sun and house 9, could you tell me any more than that, only recently been looking into astrology. Thanks Paul.

  61. With fixed stars there is focus about conjunctions and then maybe oppositions so I am afraid to ask this but what does it mean to have Regulus square sun? It’s at 0 degrees. Does it grant the opppsite of what regulus shows normally- unfortunate, indignity? Can anyone tell me please?

  62. Maya, the only exception I’ve ever heard of about this “conjunctions, maybe oppositions” rule for fixed stars, applied to Algol, certainly not to Regulus.
I think you can feel quite safe from any bad vibes. Even squares are not necessarily bad. They give you energy.

    • Thank you very much char555! That’s nice to hear, one less worry but I still have alcyone conjunct sun exact. The descriptions to that are…concerning. I think they are gloomy because in the past they had a more fatalistic view of things. One can only hope so. 🙂

  63. “There is no news. There is only the truth of the signal.”

    Mr. Universe

from KHABAROVSK, ru, news of a RADON leak with an astonishing reading of 5.99, found near a power pylon.

briefly, this story is a signal from Russia of Western events related to astrology done here at astrologyking, recently and in previous years, that have a remarkable continuity that hasnt gone unnoticed … even the most unusual places. KHABAROVSK gives an effectivity, RADON supplies the intelligent communication. The reading itself points to the use of Regulus in Precession to date eons and ages. Power pylons is a nod to the Baltimore harbor hexagons.

  64. ‘The truth of the signal’ posted a few minutes before solar eclipse totality. Darkness fell suddenly, i walked out to the street amongst several neighbours, children home from school, and a sixth grader, very bright, provided a lecture on safe viewing, and snap, we’re at totality. The eclipse seen through serrated cloud cover, a texture well suited to the times.
